True, Jesus was born under the old Constitution of the Mosaic Law.
The Pharisees hated Jesus and Jesus explains why he pronounced many 'woes' upon them in chapter 23 of Matthew.
Jesus as Messiah (Not Pharisee) put his followers under the 'Law of Christ' - see Galatians 6:2
No longer under the...
“CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW”
Jesus Christ, of course, was that promised Savior, even as the angel proclaimed at his birth. (Luke 2:8-14) So when Christ came and gave his perfect life as a sacrifice, what happened to the Law? It was removed. “We are no longer under a tutor,” Paul explained...
Thank you for your reply. So, may I conclude that you don't agree with Paul who a) changed the law for the gentiles and b) claimed that the Law is not necessary and in fact nearly reached the point of equating the law with the powers of evil (Romans 7:1–6), although he retracted it later?

Your response here..
I do not really care for your opinion. That is why I post scripture that is in disagreement with you. Moral laws are laws of right doing which are in context of our duty of love to God and man which are the two great commandments according to the scripture on which all the...
No I absolutely disagree. Moral law refers only to the second one, loving your neighbor as yourself. Moral law is desigend to prevent us from harming each other. Loving God, while very important, is just not the same thing.
I think we are going to have to simply disagree on this.
That was my point right there but that does not mean that Abraham did not know Gods laws or right and wrong and what sin is when broken and did not know Gods laws of animal sacrifices and sin offerings. Both can be shown and demonstrated in the scriptures.
Well this is correct for the nation of...
We are not under the Mosaic shadow laws of Moses that include circumcision and the shadow laws of atonement that include all the shadow laws of the earthly Sanctuary and the Levitical Priesthood in the new covenant that make up most of the 613 commands of the old testament. These were all shadow...
Besides the first 10 there is a number 11,12,13,14 etc. up to over 600.
While under the Law Jesus obeyed the Golden Rule of Leviticus19:18
Since Pentecost Christians are under the Law of Christ - Galatians 6:2
Now under the 'Law of Christ' Christians are under Christ's Law as found at John...

Here let me help you. You are trying to imply in your first post that I am saying that the 613 laws of the old covenant are not inspired by God that is a strawman argument that I have never said or believe. This was already stated in the second sentence of my...
Jesus fulfilled the temporary Mosaic Law constitution for the ancient people of ancient Israel.
Under that old Law one was to love neighbor AS self, the Golden Rule of Leviticus19:18
Under the New Law one is Now to love neighbor MORE than one's self - John 13:34-35; John 15:12
In other words...
Ephesians 2: 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.
Ah...
The Constitution of the Mosaic Law did unite certain people, the people of the ancient nation of ancient Israel.
Jesus fulfilled that Mosaic Law as per Romans 10:4; 7:6; Matthew 5:17; Ephesians 2:15; Colossians 2:14
Jesus' New Commandment unties all nations, all peoples - John 13:34-35
ALL to...
Weren't you just stressing quantity?
If atheists are hated, does that mean we have The Truth?
I observe that Christians are no better at loving
their neighbor than are heathens. In fact, Christians
are the ones helping Israel commit genocide.
There is a difference between: Quantity and Quality.
Remember: 'few' would follow Jesus - Matthew 7:13-14 and MANY would prove false - Matthew 7:21-23
So, as Jesus said 'you would be hated' (Matt. 10:22; Luke 21:17) then popularity would Not be the measure of faith.
Rather, having the same...
There is the initial 10 (exodus, duet)
Then per jesus mark 10: 17-19, Luke 18.
There is a difference, but few notice the purpose.
Letters between churches (romans) are not gospel, nor applicable.
OK.. And jesus confirmed that keeping the commandments is the best choice.
NEw? Everyone has a...
I find ' traditional religion ' was Not what Jesus was about.
In tradition we find the Golden Rule (Leviticus19:18) but Jesus enlarged upon the old Golden Rule with his ' New Commandment ' found at John 13:34-35; 15:12 to have the same self-sacrificing love for other as Jesus has.
In other...
Thanks for the reply.
You may refer to a number of passages like this but I'm pretty sure the main message from Jesus was to care for your fellow man. And there is a whole plethora of passages within the bible expressing this.
And the world we live in apart from a few parts, does not...
You say He was not a socialist, yet when you then quote my Savior's words, you are preaching it.
We can argue over what we mean, exactly, by socialism, but clearly if Jesus was preaching on earth today he would be against capitalism- even if primarily because of the ecological devastation it it...
Jesus was Not a socialist but a theocrat for God's Kingdom ( thy kingdom come....... ) - Daniel 2:44; 7:13-14
Jesus did Not feed everyone, Jesus did Not heal everyone. Jesus gave priority to teaching and preaching - Luke 4:43
That is because his teachings include Not just a temporary fix or...
