    Since about 1900 my family have been in the Manchester area. Prior to that it was Sussex, Portsmouth and East London. My Mum's side had some Welsh blood. I believe my father's side came originally from Germany but we've never proved it.

    No, not like the judge or others posting here. The judge and those here have listened to evidence, expert evidence, scientific evidence and made a judgement based on that. Dogma is not evidence.

    I find it hard to believe that the GOP strategists have not yet twigged that this is a vote loser and a voter motivator. People who are lethargic when it comes to voting will get out to vote.

    Cars unfortunately are engraved in our psyche, no government dare upset the driver. Dare to propose a 'clean air zone' and you'll lose a by-election. Cars are necessary in many rural areas, but they would be less necessary if public transport hadn't been run down. My wife is going away...
