Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

Not true. No evidence of this. Please provide reliable reference to support this accusation. This does not address the issue of overwhelming corruption in today's church, nor the full dubstance of my post...

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

The pope tried to gain control of the citadel of David through Obama. The pope thinks he has the keys of David (Isaiah 22:22) Per Isaiah 22:25, the pope, the heir of Peter, is about the "fall", and those hanging onto him are to be "cut off".

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

I believe as far as the interpretation of scripture did not necessarily begin with Luther, Biblical citations can support that salvation is by both faith and works, James 2:14-26 Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works...

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

You are only focusing on the word and not the meaning of the word. Luther objected to the selling of indulgences. That is having a priest step in and forgive a person of sins for money. Though "indulgences still exist the selling of them was banned in the time of Luther as well...

Is it possible that Christianity is true, yet the Bible contains errors?

The Protestant source is "scriptures alone", starting at the time of Luther, when Luther damned "indulgences" and many other aspects of Catholicism. The present canon of "scriptures" comes from the Catholic church, via Athanasius, and the churches power of indulgences supposedly comes from...

The Bible seems to always promote a flat earth belief over a spherical earth

"Toss thee like a ball" I never said the word ball didn't exist. Has any writing in history referred to earth as a ball? So you know without a doubt a circle is referring to a flat earth? Does that mean the four corners are referring to a square or rectangular earth? So many claim to...

The Bible seems to always promote a flat earth belief over a spherical earth

There were certainly spherical objects in biblical writings which are described to be as a ball during that time. A good example is Isaiah 22:18. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%2022%3A18&version=KJV There is no doubt the Bible is describing a flat Earth rather than a sphere.

The Bible seems to always promote a flat earth belief over a spherical earth

Another question for ya... Does a circle or ball have four corners? Of course not so the four corners evidently refer to something else. Maybe N, S, E and W.

The Bible seems to always promote a flat earth belief over a spherical earth

I'm saying.... I simply pointed out the word sphere didn't exist. In any ancient writings has anyone ever described earth or referred to earth as a ball? IOW, in writings before the bible, how was earth described?

The Bible seems to always promote a flat earth belief over a spherical earth

Like Isaiah 22:18a says it could say "like a ball". So are you saying that the Bible's authors knew that the earth was shaped like a ball yet they wrote all of those verses about the earth having ends and it being a circle, and the heavens are like a tent, etc?

By the way -- if you claim to be a Christian...

Yeah, your "message" is the "message" of the "evil one", the "devil" (Mt 13:37-42). You think you will not "sleep"/"die", but you will per Jeremiah 31:30, for "everyone will die for their own iniquities". The only ones who "escape"/"survive" the "day of the LORD", are those on Mount Zion and...

Petros means "stone", whereas petra means large rock/bedrock. Petra also refers to the religious center of the world trading Nabateans, who buried their dead in the tombs of Petra, as with the guy put in charge of the "royal household"/Church, Peter, was to endeavor to make his home the rock...

Understanding the holy scriptures is impossible unless God gives you the interpretation

The snake story is universal. People have worshipped snakes and dragons around the world. Snake Gods and Goddesses: 19 Serpent Deities from Around the World Looking for a face value misses the underlying premise. The Japanese emperor was the sun god, as identified by the Japanese flag, but...

    Who Or What Is Israel?

The Jewish (Judah) religious leaders and Jerusalem are being "restored" (Joel 3:1), and the nations/Gentiles, are about to be visited with judgment (Joel 3:2). Romans and Hebrews was supposedly written by the "enemy" of the kingdom of heaven (Mt 13), which was done by the false prophet Paul, or...

Why should a Christian even look into Islam as a Possible true Faith?

If you don't know the hour or the day then it's unfair to criticize others for not knowing it. It's Hosea 6:2, not 3:2, and it's about being healed, not the return. The builder symbolism of Matthew 7:24 contrasts with that of Habakkuk 2:12, which follows from a description of Paul as the proud...

Why should a Christian even look into Islam as a Possible true Faith?

Per Isaiah 22:15-25, those who hang on the heir of Peter, the pope, will fall, "in that day". If Yeshua couldn't state the hour or the day, then one would be hard pressed to better him, although he did say, "you shall do greater things than me", for he would be in heaven, helping. According to...

Why should a Christian even look into Islam as a Possible true Faith?

The hidden message refers to Matthew 13:13-14 & Isaiah 6:9, whereas Yeshua described the "kingdom of heaven" in parables, so that the "wicked" (Daniel 12:10) would not have eyes or ears to "understand". It is only hidden from the "wicked"/"lawless". The message in "parables" says that the...
