Morals are subjective, hence there is no "right" answer. Personally, I believe both scenarios are morally permissible. The more lives saved, the better. However, there are exceptions.
I don't have spiritual needs. My existence is but a microscopic blip in the universe, and trying to figure out what it all means wont do me a bit of good in the end. The world is what it is, whether I know what it is or not.

mycorrhiza, to answer your question, I was drawn to Satanism because it's ideas were nearly identical to my own, and closer than any other philosophy I've ever encountered.
I was drawn to LaVeyan satanism because it agreed with me. After doing some research about it, I found out that the opinions and ideas were the nearly identical to my own.
Zeena LaVey and Nikolas Schreck used to be Satanists, but are not anymore.
