We certainly have them in the U.K. I was quite shocked when somebody that I knew well told us that there was no climate crisis. She and her friend later added that the Nazi's were not all bad - there was no holocaust. The amazing thing was that we were actually volunteers on an environmental...
Seems like I am not the only one to be concerned. But how many are thinking of alternatives?

I have seen posts here that seem to show that policing in the U.S. is not always that efficient. Certainly in the U.K. the police seem to be almost absent from society in some areas. So I wonder, are any of you tempted to take the law into your own hands? Is it ever justified?

I have been looking around on the internet and it seems that sacred rivers may share a common origin with sacred wells. Such celebrations have survived in parts of England and other countries too. It is believed to be pre-Christian.
I started a thread about it last year...
Yes. It is the border between what was Middlesex and Essex. In the Bow area it is now the border between the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Newham.
On youtube there are many videos made by John Rogers of his walks around London. In one he referred to the "sacred river Lea." I am hoping...
George, I was on a course some years back and found a book about this in their library. I did not have time to read it but glossing through it was hard to avoid seeing it as something well researched. People better qualified than me were taken in. Some time later I did a little research of my...
A great idea for a thread Vinayaka. Rivers have fascinated me since my early childhood. There is so much to them, the geography, ecology, history and yes, a spiritual dimension.
The nearest river to me is the Lea. One of my most treasured possessions is a 'Sacred River Lea T shirt.
I am aware of this. I used the phrase umbrella term due to the archetypal nature of the subject, and the name simply to be descriptive.
Again, I am aware of this. I was just checking your particular use, as the term is interpreted differently sometimes.
Sorry, I cannot give a source, it was too long ago. I once read that experiences can be induced by a practitioner but that the energy required for this usually requires the presence of others, perhaps in a ritual manner.
The reason that I remember this is that I think I have witnessed something...
Well sorry to disagree @dybmh but I don't have a story, I don't have plans or beliefs based on my race but I do have a morality that says unnecessary killing is wrong. It is that simple and what I wrote was in response to the op.
My response was to that part quoted. It is not cool.
Nowhere do I state that this alleged column of fire is acceptable proof. I inherently distrust melodrama. A simple message put in my head (or written in the sky) would suffice. But of course we never get sky messages do we?
