Messianism is the belief in one messiah (or more messiahs). Countless faiths believe in the messiah and countless people do as well. While I consider Jesus as one messiah, I also believe that there is another, non-human, still lesser than God, Liberator that will come at an unknown time. I'm...
The Australian Football League kicks off 21 March and I'm extremely excited ! Aussie rules is my second favorite sport (behind baseball). Any other fans (outside of Australia)?
I actually left the Roman Church and have since professed the Unitarianism of the American Unitarian Association, even though they no longer exist (as a distinct body)...
No church membership, however, I attend the Catholic Mass very infrequently (I hold Unitarian beliefs, expressed by James Freeman and Theophilus Lindsey, among the others). I official the left the Roman Church some years ago.
I was a regular participant in my local UU congregation, but never achieved membership status (my choice). My acceptance of the Bible and agreement with the Apostles Creed made me feel too "Christian" for UUism, though there are most likely many that will accept my beliefs. I do, however...

For Christian monotheists and Biblical Unitarians, www.christianmonotheism.com is a good website. I don't necessarily agree with this type, however, they provide fantastic resources. The site seems to hold an Arian christology.
My childhood didn't impact my views simply because I did you care about philosophy. When I was a junior in high school, I was exposed to Buddhist philosophy. That's when i seriously began philosophical inquiry. Buddhism is no longer part of my life but has been replaced with skepticism.
"Big" u unitarian historically speaking refers to a specific movent (specifically 1825-1961, the movement I want to revive) and "small" u unitarian describes someone who is affiliated with no religion who believes that God is unitary, rather than a trinity. Deists and Pan-/Panen-theists would be...
Christian monotheism (biblical or evangelical Unitarianism) tries to reclaim what Jesus preached, that he preached that god is 1 person, not 3 separate beings. These believers are much like modern day Protestants, meaning they believe the bible and everything in it, is absolutely true and...
