    Spiritual Crisis?

There is a certain fatalism in the way the place is taught like no matter what you do, you'll never be good enough, faithful enough, and that is what makes the idea so crippling. The road to destruction is wide or so the Bible says in Matthew 7:13 and it seems you'll fail because you're not...

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

Okay then. However, if someone says they aren't an atheist nor a theist then I don't see much point in telling them otherwise. Transtheists, for instance. -shrugs-

    Awesome. :)

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

I said "generally" so I'm using a broad brush there admittedly. Most Atheists I speak to say there is not enough evidence for them to believe in any gods, neither in the world, science, or their personal lives. I don't think they are representative of them all, it just seems common. That...

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

An Atheist lacks a belief in God(s) generally because there is no evidence of its existence. An Agnostic might see reasons for its existence as well as against it, but accept neither as adequate responses to the god question for themselves so they don't take one. What if they're wrong, after all?

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

Yeah kind of is. That's when one believes that the answer to whether god exists transcends both positions? God exists and doesn't exist.

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

I disagree. You are wanting them to make a choice you want them to make which is either/or, but it's not that simple. Ambiguity often disturbs people. There are theists who agree with you too on this. I see no reason to expect an Agnostic to be an atheist or a theist if they prefer to refrain...

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

Probably, but I don't care what the more hardline Christians think about Agnostic Theists. It's fine if they believe in God 100% as long as they don't force me to agree with them that there is definitely a god/dess. I see my position as an emotional one and being spiritual is a part of my...

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

Tell that to Agnostics who aren't inclined to either side and believe the middle of the road is best. Your thinking is too black and white, IMO.

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

Why is it so hard to grasp that a theist can be unsure and have doubts? Not every theist is gnostic nor is absolutely certain a god exists.

Logically, agnosticism is the most rational position

Agnosticism is a reasonable position to hold. Considering how much we have yet to discover in the universe. The universe is like a vast library full of wonders to be found and revealed. The vastness of it alone is overwhelming, makes me feel so small and uncertain. You can be just Agnostic, an...

I have another question for YOU to ignore

Maybe he's referring to people with the wrong intentions? Like a fraudulent priest or someone who claims to represent him but does evil things. Not sure.

How Did You Find Your Faith?

Nice, I like reading about Christian philosophy. I like reading St. Francis of Assisi's writings as well.

    Spiritual Crisis?

Ew yeah mosquitos are a pain in the side. I like nature, just not necessarily on me. :D I usually use walking outside to practice mindfulness, it does help clear my mind. Meditation isn't easy for me.

    Spiritual Crisis?

There's nothing wrong with being uncertain and questioning your spiritual beliefs. Doesn't mean it feels good though. It can hurt when go you through an inner crisis where you feel alone and disconnected from the Sacred/Divine.

50 Killed at Florida Nightclub by Muslim Man

Heartbreaking. My brother doesn't live far from that club and spoke to a couple of people who were at the club when it occurred. Such hatred towards other human beings doesn't make any sense to me. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.

    Spiritual Crisis?

Haha good point. Here you have to watch out for snakes too. Of course, you don't always have to close your eyes to meditate per se.

    Spiritual Crisis?

Oh ok. Harming none is a fine principle. I don't know if Hell is real or not. However, living a meaningful life and being a decent person does matter. I have been going through a spiritual slump but not as long as you have though. I look at it like this: I will live my life the best I can...
