John7:39
He was speaking about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
After Jesus had risen from the dead and been glorified He came to His disciples.
John 20:21 Again Jesus said, “Peace...
A human says water in a scientific philosophy saved all spirits of God. Why we are with as God by definition holy life holy water.
So then they taught no I must include ice as ice keeps both water and gas holy as it's not just about my human biology. I'll call it the saviour of two opposing...
If a person truly knows God, it will be reflected in their personality.
Gods spirit is reflected in those who have put on the 'new personality' which is made according to Gods will
Eph 4:22 You were taught to put away the old personality+ that conforms to your former course of conduct and...
I don’t believe a person can know God without being saved by the Savior Jesus Christ and receiving the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit, by grace. People can know about God, maybe even believe in God to one degree or another, but reconciliation and relationship with God is available only through...
The question feels a bit vague. Questions that come to mind are what does it mean to know and follow Christ? I recognize that no Christian in the world will follow Christ perfectly or know God fully.
Clara Tea's opinion:
Trinity is wrong. God is the only God (as God said in the bible), not split in three (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). Bible contradictions are misinterpretations, or rewritten by the Vatican, which pushed the Trinity idea, or the bible was rewritten by kings.
Prediction of a...
There is a class of experience which I believe reveals that one has had an experience of God. I talk about it at length in this thread The God Dream
This is a class of experience found in Genesis and maybe in Acts (Saul/Paul conversion). But it is not specifically Christian.
Please tell me your a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. I have not met a Non-LDS Christian that holds any of these scriptures seriously because of Sola Scriptura and Faith alone not works lead to salvation, the trinity as taught by the creeds, etc.
The scriptures teach that the Holy Spirit is central to a person’s adoption as a child of God [Romans 8:15-17].
God is one [Deut. 6:4; Gal. 3:20]
God is (a) Spirit [John 4:24]
They that believe on him [Jesus Christ] receive the Spirit [John7:39]
He that is joined to the Lord [Jesus...
I'm just looking at it in ways you aren't. That's not an error. That's a different understanding. You think you have a monopoly on understanding these things?
You still haven't answered the question then. Since you believe God is Infinite, is it possible for there to be anywhere that the Spirit...
Everything of your replies contains flagrant and purposeful errors as to what I said.
You claimed I didn’t answer a pointless question you asked me: It was not a question… God is eternal and God is everywhere … No one who believes in God denies any of these things…. It’s not a question to ask...
1) So you would have us believe that the church was destroyed - When he said the gates of hell shall not prevail against it?
And you think he just let the church - his bride, be destroyed?
During the time period you are claiming the church was destroyed, and was the temple he was talking...
THE I AM DELUSION
John7:39-43
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the...
Considering that the Gospel of John has Jesus saying that Moses did not get his knowledge from heaven, I don't even acknowledge the OT, making me unorthodox Christian. The Gospel says that Christ spoke the truth (from heaven). Satan is an ideology of the god the Jews wound up following (John 8)...
I believe my faith has a sound foundation.
I believe that is a misinterpretation.
Perhaps that is because you haven't shown it. I believe Also beliefs must be sound and not misinterpretations.
I believe context is important. You could put text out of context like the one people like to use...
Then see it in the entirety:
John 5:
36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye...
