Here let me help you. You are trying to imply in your first post that I am saying that the 613 laws of the old covenant are not inspired by God that is a strawman argument that I have never said or believe. This was already stated in the second sentence of my...
It appears you don't know what "strawman" refers to.
Huh? Maybe rewrite the above so it makes sense.
What does the above have to do with what I posted? Also, how some Christians may see Jews can be variable, and yes many feel they can be "grafted in". So?
This is really quite simple...
Stop with the strawman arguments. No once ever once said any of Gods Word was not inspired. Think what you are saying through before posting. Do you still make animal sacrifices and go to a Temple and seek out a Levite Priest and do animal sacrifices and sin offerings every time you sin? Again...
The reality is that one simply cannot separate the 10 from the 613 Commandments that Torah says were all inspired by God. However, those are only mandatory for those of Jewish ancestry.
For us Gentiles, Jesus' Two Commandments is what we are taught to follow, and you should know that.
The Messiah has come and we are in the new covenant now not the old. According to the scriptures the purpose of Gods 10 commandments is to give us the knowledge of GOOD and RIGHT DOING when obeyed and SIN AND EVIL when disobeyed (see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; James 2:10-11; 1 John 3:4 and Psalms...
That everything is truly recorded and comes from God but not all things are true. Example: It is truly recorded that Aaron made a golden calf but it is not true that it was the god that delivered the Jewish nation
But that wasn’t the point I made. As scripture said, there are carnal...
What do you think I'm saying?
Overcoming the World is the same as Overcoming the Carnal Nature.
I Am in Total agreement with everything from Genesis to Revelation.
Paul is teaching what Aspiring Christians Must do to get In Christ/Messiah. Given that Christ/Messiah is Not Carnal how can you...
Is being carnal necessarily a bad thing? So yeah ... we're made of flesh, we feel passion, temptation, sorrow, pleasure, pain, and we are temporal. The spirit comes after, but also before while we live in our flesh suits. It's just the nature of the game or experience called life. Living...
Generally speaking, as I read what you are trying to say, good!
I agree with tis scripture but how does it apply to what I said? "You can be a Christian and be carnal, fleshly, immature and judgmental.” unless what you are saying is that we should overcome them. If so, I agree compeltely.
I...
I Am in Total Agreement with Everything in the Holy Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation.
John 16:33
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
That's a Lie. There is no...
I agree with these scriptures.
You can be a Christian and be carnal, fleshly, immature and judgmental.
Aren’t you glad that it is God that is the judge of hearts and not you or me? Isn’t it more important to preach the Gospel with power that it is to decide these matters?
And Levi was in...
Sure .. a plausible explanation based on pre-existence .. and indeed Jesus always refers to God as someone other than himself but, what is the name of this God that we are to pray to "Hallowed be thy NAME"
and such language matters .. while may mean nothint to modern day Christian .. it...
It's an interesting subject about Melchizedek. Reading more about this, Genesis 14 further says:
"17After Abram returned from his victory over Kedorlaomer and all his allies, the king of Sodom went out to meet him in the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley)."
(More about Abram...and...
Thank you for your reply.
I find at Hebrews7:3 being in connection to Hebrews7:1 Melchizedek.
Melchizedek was both King and High Priest.
There is No mention of Melchizedek's parents but we know he had parents.
There is mention of Jesus' parents both heavenly and earthly.
Thus, Jesus as Son of...
No I accept Hebrews 10:1. It supports what I have been sharing with you in my last few posts. For example, Hebrews chapters 7 to 10 are talking about the shadow laws of atonement (not Gods 10 commandments) in the earthly Sanctuary, the Levitical Priesthood and animal sacrifices for sin offerings...
Sure there is governing, but MAN's long history shows MAN has Not successfully governed MAN - Ecclesiastes 8:9
The ' warrior ' is about Jesus. Please see the warrior action Jesus takes at Revelation 19:14-15; Isaiah 11:3-4
Yes, Jesus is the ' Warrior ' as described at Psalm 110, - Hebrews7:21-22
Incorrect. I follow the rule of no false witness and you follow the words of scribes and pharisee, that claim to have first hand witness of god.
That's the problem. Claiming a god wrote or inspired the bible as actual foundations.
What are good are the lessons, not the claims of being by god...
Then please stay focused and be honest. According to the scripture it is written that "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16
Yes I also posted in context that we are in the...
