It's a subject that both socialists and libertarians should agree on. The war on drugs is a money making racket and a pretext to catch large sections of the population up in the prison cycle.
Oh, fine. Concentrated on Secular Cafe during this period and annoyed a few people. Always the trouble-maker. :D

If that coin is Burmese, I am not certain who it is depicting on the one side. It certainly is NOT the Buddha. It could be a bodhisatta, they are frequently depicted with crowns. If so, it may be Maitreya, he is often depicted in art as in the process of rising from his seat, which the figure appears to be doing on the coin. This of course, is assuming it is Burmese...
Vedic and Ionian Greeks are the same on Eos (Usha), Zeus (Dyavuh), Ouranos (Varuna), Helios (Surya), etc. Why? Because they had a common Aryan ancestry. Identification of indigenous Indian Gods and Goddesses is not possible. Herakles/Krishna/Bacchus/Dionysus seems contrived.

I think they can be identified. The Greeks would identify their gods with Egyptian deities even though they have a different background and culture. (Hermes was identified with Thoth...)
    Thanks for the like brother

You are welcome. It is unfortunate that many people have such a dim view on what ancient Europe was like outside of Greece and Rome.
Hope Korra is getting you well trained.

We had to have one of our three released today from his struggle by a very kind vet. Snoopy was 22 so a real old boy, but special to us and a kitten to the end.

Thank you! She seems to be adjusting well to her new life with me. I am really happy to have her here. Her name is Korra. I still miss my old cat, Foxy. I've cried a lot over her. I am hopeful that she has found a happy rebirth, she was a very sweet kitty.

It would be an informal one-on-one session. The monk I spoke to about it is a young Burmese man. He said that I could help him learn English while he teaches me Pali! Sounds like a deal. I am busy with work and other things; but, I want to make an effort to do this!

Definitely! This is awesome---a one-on-one session sounds very promising. And the deal, to top it off, is pure genius on both of ya'llz part! :p

Hey! Hope you are doing well. Wanted to have a private conversation with you; but, your privacy settings prevent me from starting one with you. If you are able, start one with me. There is something I want to tell you...
Yes, Von Beck. Reasonably well. It is Choti Diwali today (lesser Diwali - beginning of lighting). Tomorrow Diwali, day-after Go-vardhan (for increase in live-stock, we do not have any but the tradition continues), and then the day for brothers and sisters, Bhai Dooj (sisters are supposed to come to brothers to tie the thread. In Rakshabandhan, it is the brothers who go to the sisters' place). So best wishes for a prosperous year on this Diwali (Deepawali - line of lights). :)
It's in my Barnes & Noble shopping bag. :D Same title you mentioned, same author. Doesn't look like a revised edition or anything.
Thanks for the tip. Funny, I just saw that name in something else I was reading this afternoon. I am checking it out right now. :)
