  • True, Pakistanis and Arabs have very negative opinion about US and West. For example 74% of Pakistanis viewed America as a enemy and this rate is increasing Pakistani Public Opinion Ever More Critical of U.S. | Pew Research Center's Global Attitudes Project
But I would also say Iranians who fled the Islamic Revolution in 1979 (they are the ones mostly found in West) are the ones who are mostly Secular. For example 19% Iran Americans are Atheist/Agnostic and 30% had no religion Iranian American - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
But I also think more than 30 yrs of Islamic indoctrination by Khomeini should have left its mark on Iranian society.
Then it should be good to travel to Istanbul etc. Some of my relatives went there and said it was really nice. I don't think Iranians hate American people, many Iranians aren't even that religious. Many are secular, I don't think I have ever met an Iranian who hated American people. Iranian people are very hospitable and cultured.

The main issues between Iranians and Americans is mostly political. Most Iranians I have met don't hate Jews or Israel either, although they are sympathetic towards the Palestinian people. But for the most part they are neutral, because it is not their conflict really. Their own government destroys their lives, so Iranian people have their own problems.

I would say more Arabs and Pakistanis hate the average American much more than the average Iranian ever could. I would also say many Arabs and Pakistanis hate Jews with a passion.
Turkey is a really nice place from what I hear, I have family members who have gone there. I know a Zoroastrian girl who lives there as well and is happy there.

Iran is also not bad for foreigners, especially if you have roots to the country. The government has become a little more lenient on Zoroastrians and allow us to travel there for pilgrimages. Compared to ISIS regions in Iraq and Syria, Iran is utopia for religious minorities.
That's a really cool mix, you're right you wouldn't be considered full Arab. However you are mostly middle eastern :)
Iran has done alright under Islam. A lot of the discoveries of the Islamic Golden Age were from Persians, some of them even Zoroastrian. The Mongols ravaged Iran more than the Arabs did.

Iran has just been a crappy hole since the revolution, when millions of people's lives were ruined. It is extremely sad and many Iranians try to go back to a time when the Persians were strong, powerful, proud and intellectual. Not what it is now.
No this is the only forum I frequent. Well I'm on another forum as well, but it's a medical forum. Was he Parsi or Iranian?
My mom is Parsi my dad is Iranian who moved to India as a child.
Of course. Christians need to start defending and taking care of ourselves. We shouldn't allow ourselves to be exterminated out of a land we've been in for almost 2,000 years.
    Thanx for the capitalistic frubie!

Hey, could some other posters leave messages here?
