  • Sounds like a pretty diverse mix. :D

For quality of writing style I'd also recommend Terry Pratchett: even though his novels are fantasy-spoof, and tend towards the silly, his writing style is so smooth, his descriptives so imaginative and inventive, and his way of resolving situations so credible (within their context) and unexpected that I'd put him at the top of any fantasy authors list. Also R.E. Howard (creator of Conan the Barbarian): this guy basically invented the genre.

I'd love to check out you ideas.
Cool, especially that last part. Fantasy is probably my favorite genre (or at least a close tie with Historical fiction). What are you reading?

Also, I'd be interested in hearing your ideas if you feel like sharing them.
Slow, partly due to my having to drop my CGI class last semester, partly due to disorganization on my part.

The good news is I have the scripts all fleshed out for at least 8 full books now, and I know what I want the characters to look like (that part was a major hold-up for me).

One thing that should help is that I bought a digital camera and a graphics pad, so now I can take pics, run them through a cartoon-converter, and use them as a template for the artwork. Also bought the url "Naykidape.org" so I'll have somewhere to publish it all as a webcomic. :p
Yeah, for some reason, DS spotted it before I did. I hit my 50,000th post and the next thing I know, I've got a PM from him awarding me the 50k medal. :p
Is there a gwickle snatcher around here? The hairs have risen on the back of my neck and that's usually a sure sign a gwickle snatcher is coming.
I think people who post totally trivial and pointless profile messages are most likely middle-age men living in Colorado cottages with way too much time on their hands, don't you? I'm just saying: I'm usually right about these sorts of things.
Thanks for the feedback! I was indeed wondering how effective the similar hats were. And you've confirmed my suspicion that it was a good idea not to show faces. Makes it more universal, I think.
