  • Oh yes I know, as I told you, my friend had problems getting inside cars! Like 2 weeks of weight lifting and he never got them again.

He suggsted the P90X to me so now we are both starting this monday! :cover:

    xD
    Lol not at all.

In any case, gaining muscle HELPS to lose weight. A friend of mine who is very overweight stopped having problems entering to cars since he followed my advice and started doing weightlift.

It was a funny arrangement. he could use my house as a Gym and I could use his house as a cyber (I have the weights and he has the cool computer) he has been completely failing me on his side of the deal though :p

In any case, trust me weight lifting is one of the best ways to lose body fat. Muscle is made of the things in this order: water carbohydrates protein . If your body is developing muscle, it will send carbohydrates there instead of storing them as fat, hence you store less fat with the same amount of food. At the same time, a session of weight lifting makes the metabolism go up like crazy for that day and the next, this helps burning fat too.
By "muscle has its weight" I mean I also improved my muscle mass, so that would be making me heavier, but not fatter xD.
I never weighted myself, just measured belly. After all, muscle has its weight too, so it would be an inaccurate measure of body fat.

I lost 10 cms of belly, I had to buy a belt because even the pants that were tight before were sliding to show more of me that I would like xD . And before the diet I was 20% body fat, which is an amount nutritionist say is healthy to the regular man.

About abs, I can see something up there already :D . P90x is 90 days program... I expect abs by the first month, indeed we shall see! :D
Perphaps. some people have it tougther than others no doubt to that.

In general what I have done is :

Weight lifting (this is HUGE benefit not to be underestimated. Muscles burn fat even when you are couch potatoing :D )

Eating almost no carbs on days I do not weight lift, and eating 5 times a day (as little as posible)

the eating 5 times a day is to accelerate metabolism, but the idea is to eat very lttle portions and preferably things that arent carby. Say, a bit of light tuna and a non sugared cookie as one of those 5.

Big meals with carbs are only admissible in the 3 hours immediately after work out. In general I also cut out any sugar any day of the week. I did this for at least a month I dropped 10 cms (like 4 inches I think?) of belly and now I allow myself some sugar once upon a few days. I ll soon enter a new diet, one with the P90x program.

I WILL get Six pack abs O_O

    :D
