  • Friend,
    Its ok,
Now atleast you know how to post personal messages.
    Love & rgds
    Yeah. :D
I suppose it's also because if someone says, "What religion are you?" I can just say "Christian/Jew/Muslim/Baha'i/Sikh/Hindu/Mormon/Buddhist". Instead of something like "Non-Trinitarian Messianic Noahide with Greco-Zen-Buddhist and Hindu influences" - and I suppose for the practicality of surveys and menus.

Especially, however, for my kids. Finding a spirituality and a path that leads to balance and happiness in my life is important for me because I want my kids to grow up with something (though not indoctrinating or forcing them into it) - I grew up without religion as a force of my life, and I wish I had grown up with religion! :D
I doubt I'll ever find enough things in religion - I have a problem with all of them, but I suppose I'd be happier if I could add and remove things in my religion! I suppose I just want to put a label to myself, though!
Thanks for the friendship add. :)
Let me know when/if you pick a faith. It's nice to hear what fellow seekers go to!
Hello friend! You sound just like me. I don't have a specific religion, nor do I think I need one. I follow the most ancient form of belief, Animism. This is because I believe that the older the belief is, the more closer it also is to the connection of all things. Animism is about a connection with nature and the energy in all things. There is not really any specific goal to achieve enlightenment, but rather more of a way of living in the world. A realization that we are already enlightened, we only need to search from within. I believe the spirit world is real and exists, but I don't believe in the concept of God. To me, what could be called "God" is existence itself. I worship existence which is the ALL in ALL. You seem to have already discovered that enlightened part of you that drives you to seek out truth. Don't just search for it in books. That truth you seek is already within you and all around you. I know you see "God" already, maybe you don't recognize it. It is existence.
There are many ways and many paths to find that connection with "God". My way might not be right for you, but it is one option among many. You are already on the right path though, that is for certain.
