I couldn't find verification that Penrose himself has since abandoned the idea, so that may have just been hearsay -- I don't know. I also found some interest in explanations for what in the brain could possibly slow the decoherence down enough for the quantum consciousness model to work, but it doesn't have much support (from physicists or in terms of evidence) at this time. So, I'll revoke my statement about Penrose abandoning the idea, but quantum consciousness is not in very good standing right now in terms of physicists' opinions and in terms of evidence.

Hi Ben, sorry about the delay, I'm assuming that thread is probably in a subforum that I don't frequent. I'll have it to you at latest by Sunday night. I'm a cosmology student but don't remember the exact details, but it's since been determined that the *functional* structures in the brain are too macroscopic for quantum effects to play any sort of major role; Penrose has since abandoned the idea. I will get your references this weekend.
Yeah, they say that the brain processes much info when given enough sleep and it actually stores some info during a person is at sleep itself..
Well, its a quiz on Maternal and childcare nursing about menstruation, hormones and stuff. I haven't reviewed all night. I was on RF all night long What I did is to set my cellphone alarm at 2:30 am. That was the only time that I reviewed.I left the house at 4 am and arrived at the univ at 5:00 (well, our class starts at 7 so I'm so early). I just red my notes that time.Fortunately, I got a good grade at the quiz:D
No, it is me who should thank you for you have been like a friend or a parent here on this forum to me, even when I'm just a 14 year old, immature newbie back then.
