    I sincerely apologise if my words have offended you. It was not my intent to do so. In case there is any confusion, I whole-heartedly support Israel's right to exist as a refuge for Jewish people. I misunderstood certain people's intentions, when they said that they wanted a Jewish state. The ethnic connotations, caused a gut reaction, and I am sorry. So we are clear, I believe the Israeli state is essentially a liberal democracy, and thus, a better place socially and politically than anything comparable to its Arab enemies. I also believe the Israeli Government is far more moral than either Hamas or Fatah.

    I ask for your forgiveness. I hope you can accept it.
