  • That is odd about the link. The bit about your parents is rather funny. But the part about your wife really is why some people just cannot stand religion. Some people take advantage of their "divine right" and ruin the entire concept. Thank god we have the papacy to counter that though.
That is generally how I am, I have very few people who I can make even a remote connection with. 2 to be exact...
Shame I still get preached at, not near as much as I used to though, but last week my grandfather was complaining about how both his son (my uncle) and his grandson (me) haven't been baptized.

    And yes, wrong link :)
The link is in my signature, and it should take you to some ridiculous piece of literature titled "Morse's Code"
Oh but it is a religion, it is a perverse mockery of most peoples views of religions though. But that is in the perspective of it all (I'm assuming you clicked the link). I used to be a Catholic/Non-denominational protestant (Dads Side/Moms Side). But I disliked too many concepts that revolved around them, such as the pretense of knowing God and what happens after we cease to draw breath. As well as considering the bible to be holy, that just didn't sit right with me. So I began to think. The times I've even hinted at what I think to my parents or others close to me, well, let us say it hasn't gone too well. So I keep my beliefs mostly to myself unless I feel that I will not provoke attacks or plagiarism, and I think.

Glad I stumbled upon RF though, it gives me a chance to defend my thoughts against (mostly) acute debaters
Very good, I find it refreshing to recognize somebody who has revoked their religion but still sees opportunity for growth. All answers come breath leaves your body. But until then..

    A friend request.
Ahh, very good. I do find it detestable when people force their beliefs upon others (Which I have probably done, the hypocrisy). Do your beliefs go any further than the revocation of your former religion? Any concepts or theories tugged at you?
Just curious, what do you teach? Do your beliefs ever show through to your students? Do they intentionally show through?
Do me a favor and try looking at the "Joseph Smith was a proven con-artist" thread. One poster there seems to think that because more of the posters think smith was a profit that stand he must have been, and does not take into account that most of the posters on this thread have been lds members. Quite annoying....
    -Thanks
