  • Sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope things are progressing well under the circumstances. Don't worry about long delays. If it takes two weeks for a reply post it'll simply be a happy surprise. Cheers.

My mom's a trooper. She is doing pretty well considering. We're working on building arm strength and balance on one leg to do things like get out of bed and use the bathroom. But she is progressing along nicely.

I won't worry about long delays. But neither should you worry about your presenting of brash skepticism concerning the ideas I defend. I welcome that. All I'm saying is: don't be stingy with your brash objections. They're moving the conversation along quickly AND making sure it's honest. It's refreshing and interesting

Thank you for the "informative" on mistranslation. Hope it was helpful. Have a great rest of your day. :)
I was surprised to see post describing the philosophy of Spinoza, and then I see with "google lens" that your avatar is that of Spinoza. That obviously is why you know so much apparently about his philosophy, because you wouldn't have this avatar unless it was signifcant to you.

Yes. Spinoza is one of my favorite philosophers. I also like Plato, Nietzsche, Thoreau, and James.

    You got any favorite philosophers?

My favorite philosopher would be Socrates, but I've read a limited amount of philosophy. I've read some Plato and Socrates (second hand from Plato). I basically know where Nietzche stands. I never took a philosophy course.

You don't need to have taken a philosophy course to be a philosopher. Where did Socrates get his philosophy degree? (rhetorical question)
    Yeah, DA2 was a disappointment.
Especially when they just recycled the city, where everything looked the same. They gotten lazy with design

Not just that... the exploration sucked, the combat sucked. A lot of people liked the story. Not me. I had to force myself to care about it.

Yeah, me too. Origin was definitely superior in every ways.
Inquisition is a definite improvement over da2, but like I said didn’t finish playing da3.
I only got as far as a couple of dozen or more after reaching skyhold before my pc crashed badly. Like I finished crest wood, but did not finish any of the other locations on the war table map.
More recently, I have been playing Dragon Age.
Managed to play through 1 & 2, but never finished DA3 Inquisition, because my old pc died on me in 2019, and didn’t get new pc till mid-2020.
The old pc still “had” NWN installed before the pc died, so I lost all my NWN saved games.

I love and worship Dragon Age Origins. Less so, DA 2. I didn't even finish Inquisition. I'm hoping the series decides to go back to its roots.
Yeah, I was a member and did play NWN for some years. Haven’t played in a while.
