I'm real sorry to hear that. I have a friend in her 20s as well with arthritis in her thumb, but she doesn't seem to be able to find anyone to help her with it. They just tell her to lose weight. I'm not sure the two are connected, but what do I know...

I never had a weight problem but weight can put extra strain on the joints. Though what it has to do with her thumb I don't know

That's kind of what I'm thinking... if it were feet or knees, it might be different. It can be hard to find a good doctor here if you're low income.
