As someone who lives in a warm state, I experienced below 0 cold for the first time in my life in February this year. It felt like a block of ice was pressed against my face. No wonder so many people move from the Midwest down to here.

The culture's nothing to brag about, either. My husband's from the south, and while he enjoyed the snow for the first few years, he's never adjusted to winter or Iowans.
    Spongebob, eh?

    Of course!

We got pretty attached to the yellow fellow around here... it was the only show Ares would watch, and we all got hooked on it.

I'm not too familiar with Peppa Pig.

I suspect hubby and I will still be watching Spongebob long after the kids are done with it. Its got a reputation for being dumb, but in reality there are a lot of jokes hidden in it for the adults stuck in the room. As my oldest son matured, he would double over when he'd finally 'get' the joke...
