I'm a bit nervous on what the workplace will say. I'm going in tomorrow, I'll let y'all know. I don't think they will say much, because they hired someone with a nose stud. So I think I'm okay, I think I'll just shock everyone who knows me as "Becky the good Mormon".
Just tell 'em it's a shiny zit.

No piercings, tattoos, or any other body modification besides stuff for health reasons. Your nose stud is very cute, though, I hope it feels better soon.

There's no piercing I'm interested in, but I'd like to get a tattoo of a sea squirt. Not sure where yet, someplace covered by normal clothes but visible with a bathing suit.

Uh, Becky... You said you were planning on doing some "un-Mormon" things. Wouldn't you be disappointed if nobody even noticed that "Becky the good Mormon" had done something "un-Mormon"? When you choose to march to a different drummer than "good Mormons" do, this is something you've got to expect.

I had my left ear pierced at one time, but I had a friend do it and I think he messed up because I had to take it out because it was becoming all red and big, and it hurt. I'm thing of getting both my ears pierced and maybe my tongue.

I've got four holes in my ears, all except one I had professionally (or as professionally as you would call Claire's at the mall) done. The other one I did with a safety pin. It grossed all my friends out, it was great.:p

I know, I'm just worried I'll offend someone really. Is that weird? I love to be different but I hate contention..... :D I'll wear it, but as work rules say (apparently I didn't read the very fine print) we can't have them. I'm getting a plastic retainer in about two weeks so that I can just wear that while at work.

I think it's adorable. I got my nose done about a year ago. It takes a long time for it to stop hurting entirely. Mine still bothers me every once in a while. The only thing I don't like about mine is it hangs out sometimes and it looks like I have a booger hanging out of my nose.

I'm having a problem with it sinking back into my nostril, is that normal? The guy at the shop said to come back in and have him look at it!

I don't have one, as I'm more into tattoos than extra holes in my head ;) but if I were to get one, it would be the industrial.

Wow that looks like it would hurt a bit. It reminds me of my son, he has his ears
gaged not to big though just an 8m.

Me i just have my ears pierced twice and my belly button done:D

I can say I never heard of that one before. I would go back for sure. Needless to say, it still looks very cute on you Becky.

Thanks, I like it too.

I went back today, they took it out and put it back in but lost the diamond stud part, and he wants me to come back next week anyways. He said what he did to it should work!

So it was cute for a day or two, but this pain is not worth it. :(

I'm getting it taken out on Tuesday.

Like Victor I have zero piercing and likewise am not impressed with Tattoo's. Sorry, I just don't get it. If it is a fashion statement I am still trying to figure out what it is that is trying to be said... and no, I doubt I will ever change my position on this one.

I have 2 piercings in each ear, both on the lobe. I've always wanted a nose ring and a little hoop on the tip of one ear, but my body HATES metal and I hate pain, so...
I have three in one ear, four in the other. I have a lot of trouble with peircings - my body really doesn't like metal - so I think I'm probably done. (Similarly, all my tattoos are black, because I have bad reactions to colored ink.)
*high five* The metal sensitivity is part of the reason why I haven't gotten more piercings. Even belt buckles give me trouble sometimes. :( I have one pair of pants that is a little too big for me (but which I love to death); the belt buckle sometimes rises above the waistline a tiny bit when I'm sitting down and rests against the skin of my tummy... it'll start tingling/burning within a half hour of contact.
Sorry it's a bit off-topic, but is this common? I have weird skin (my hands will get a rash if you look at them funny, for example), so if anyone has "reactions", it'd likely be me. I'm a bit curious for my own sake.
It's called nickel dermititis. Many alloys contain nickel, including steel. It's in belt buckles, earrings and other jewelry, and so on and so forth. This allergy is fairly common: about 1 in 7 people have it, more women than men. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/nickel-allergy/DS00826/DSECTION=1
