Reconciliation Service

SK2005

Saint in training
I have organized a reconciliation service for our annual ski retreat for this weekend, or now a movie, prayer, swin retreat since we have no snow. Tell me what you think of it. This is the layout.

We have an introduction of what we are doing, then a song introduction made by one of the SVCYM team. Followed by 1 John chapters 1-2, then the reading of the Prodigal Son. The reader will stop when the son leaves for desolate living. After he has stopped the SVCYM team pop up throughout the congregation and deliver a teenage form of desolate living. The Prodigal Son actor will wander around as if he is living in desolate living then he will collapse onto the floor. The reader will continue and stop at verse 16 and a few reflections will be made, True repentance and Catholic connections (from the Catholic Youth Bible) at that time the Prodigal son actor will realize his mistakes and come forward and “go home”. Then another reader will read John 20:21-23. After that the reader of the Prodigal son will finish the reading where he left off. Finally Fr. Tom Loucks will start a transition into individual confessions.

I am so excited. I was going to change the Prodigal son to daughter because I actually get to play this part!!!:woohoo:
