I have no idea what the thread title means. It's just a song I was listening to. *crosses fingers that I haven't managed to insult anyone already*

Anywho! Hello, all! Welcome to my introduction thread! Sit down, make yourselves at home! I'll even let you sit on my retro velour couch if you promise not to spill the instant espresso on it! Sorry, I don't have any sugar for the coffee, but I do have enough Equal to euthanize a shark.

Without further ado, I am MJ. Really I have eleven (twelve once I get through with this) posts here so I probably shouldn't even be in this here section. Feel free to chide me for spamming intros if it's out of line, but my posting here has been so erratic that I figure it's probably no harm done.

I finally left what had once been my favorite internet message board after some of the hateful messages sent my way for having de-converted from Christianity and rather adamantly defending all the groups of people that the administration had managed to scapegoat (which is a big no-no on that forum) were beginning to make me physically sick. I'm struggling spiritually having lost my faith, and needed to find a place in which to discuss and learn about various spiritualities in which people were actually respectful of other beliefs. Having browsed the forums here, and spent some time in chat, and knowing some of you from the other board, I think that RF seems like a good place to start.

Feel free to ask me anything here. Also, is there any good spot in which to start posing questions about various belief systems? I'd really appreciate that!

At any rate, thanks for reading. I look forward to getting to know you guys!

Cheers!
MJ

Welcome to RF - try "Comparative Religion" or the different separate religions threads - each one usually has an intro to that particular thread and you can ask (polite) questions about the religion there.

Now I have gone to remind myself what the thread is actually called "Discuss Individual Religions" or DIR as you will prob hear it!

Welcome to RF. I think I told you "welcome" on a previous thread a while ago, but I can't remember. :D Aren't you the one who was talking about Indian movies? I see part of your name is "Mumbai". I just loooooove Indian movies.

Rj, it is German. It means "we still always live. Wir = we , leben=live, immer= always and noch= still. Although Noch might be used as slang or a flavoring word (word with no meaning but emotional interjection) because of its location in the sentence. Welcome to RF and I hope you find friendships and good discussions here.
