Why Isn't God Visible?

God is as visible as he chooses to be.

People are as blind as they want to be.

It also depends on what you think you are seeing, when you look.

Why isn't God visible?
For the same reason I can't see myself.

A mirror shows me my face, as do the faces of other people. I see a bit of myself in their responses to my words and deeds. I know myself through desires, preferences and instincts, a barrage of sensation, and the constant, comforting presence of thought. But I've never seen myself. Need I be visible to know myself?

(I've been reading too much Gibran.)

Great post, Patty. I like this explanation for God's invisibility very much.

Please prove there is a god, if he is so visible.
