Paid domestic/family violence leave

It can be, or it can not be - depends on the company's policy. My husband had five MONTHS of leave built up at one point, and when he quit, he got paid for it.
Woohoo!
When I left my 1st engineering job back in the
70s, I got a surprise check for unused vacation.
I thought it was too good to be true.

It was a nice little cushion. This was about fifteen years ago.
You wimins & your cushions & pillows!

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

LOL OK this is the truth - I have an entire closet filled with nothing but pillows and throws and various linens that I change out with each holiday and season. Right now I'm all colorful and silly with the Mardi Gras stuff. Beads everywhere - I have beads too (forgot about those).

Yeah, from what I hear from people who've
been there, it's not the place for me. Then
again, neither is Ameristan...but it beats
the alternatives.

Well, Sweden and Norway and Finland and those types of places are all too cold for my taste.

I changed the pic to show pillows more
carefully arranged. I assume that you'd
never allow them to become askew.

Too much regulation & taxation for my taste.
And they're short on engine shows & museums.
Although I do know of a nascent engine museum
in Denmark. It tried to buy a German engine that
we'd already worked a deal on. I did some fast
money moving, & even travel to Krautland to
ensure that deal came to fruition. And yes,
I had to fly there....& I really hate flying.
Airplanes are bad enuf on the ground.
In the air, they're even worse.

Do you like how I tailored each
line to create that smooth shape?

Wow. That’s awful
They’re not allowed to take any leave away from you here
You can choose to portion out your benefits to a certain degree. But it all accumulates until it reaches either the legal minimum threshold or whatever maximum the company has in place

-ish...

Annual leave accrues, but other sorts of leave (sick, for example) often doesn't. Older government awards are different, I'm just talking about in 'normal' jobs. I would assume domestic violence leave similarly would not accrue.

It stands for Personal Time Off.

Cheers.

It sounds like you guys have a single time off allowance which you either use or lose (at least in some cases).

I also believe (I'm not sure) that there is 3 weeks mandatory leave allowance per year but some companies provide more.
Am I close?

For comparison, I get 4 weeks annual leave which accrues, plus 2 weeks sick leave which doesn't accrue.

I can also access 3 days bereavement leave depending on circumstance, and we accrue long service leave if we stay at a company for 10 years (we get it paid pro rated if we leave after 7.5 years)

This domestic abuse leave would be separate to that, accessible based on circumstance but not accruing, much like bereavement leave does.
