Precisely. Her life has no inherent value. She exists solely to provide something her masters find useful.

And so do you.
Humans are afforded higher status by
other humans. It's not fair. It just is.
BTW, if I had masters, they'd be sorely
disappointed in my productivity.

We're not talking about "status"; we're talking about the ability to continue to exist.

It's even reflected in our language... you have to "earn a living" somehow, do you not?

Don't let them hear you say that, little red hen... the Farmer has to notice that you haven't laid any eggs yet before he reaches for his ax.

That does relate to the status granted by humans.
Nothing else to add.

Indeed -- One's betters must grant upon the individual the status of "deserving to live."

I suppose I'm wondering by what basis the GOP (who of course, consider themselves our betters) are being ever so stingy with that status; I'm just not seeing it.

Both parties consider themselves better than the other.
BTW, I don't consider the Libertarian Party to be better.
It's just my preferred home.

I don't give a rat's whisker (or any other part of the rat) what they think of each other - it's what they think of me and mine that gets my attention.
