Where are the best places to meet people to date? I feel that using dating sites doesn't significantly improve one's odds in general - it's just more time spent in the house, where if someone went out and about in real life, any social interaction there could easily replace getting frustrated by some dating site that doesn't bring easily reproducible results.

My ultimately successful option was to befriend guys with hot sisters.
Mileage may vary though.

Civic groups, classes, the beach,...the military? That's the way I met my husband anyway.

I've met and dated several people from dating sites. But I tend not to even look at people for which there is less than a 90% match. Once contact is made, I expect several rounds of texts before a phone call and several phone calls before actually meeting.

Since I am married, the number of people even willing to consider me as a partner is not all that large. But I also don't waste time with people that are not going to be compatible. Nonetheless, I find a new partner about every year or two.

I generally don't go below 20 years younger that I am. At my age, that is usually at least the moms if not the grandmoms.

To be clear, I meant I wouldn't go after a mates mom or daughter.
If the woman is a mother, who cares? And all women are daughters.

After breifly consulting my prejudices regarding young people I've come to the conclusion that hookah bars or bubble tea rooms or something ridiculous like that. K-pop conventions and DnD games on Skype. Tiktok influencer meet and greets. :p

Bars and nightclubs, gigs, work and college were the places I tended to meet women when I was in my meeting women days. Not sure how much that helps as it was some time ago.

There is a super funky hookah bar I've been to in Prague, generally packed to the gills with hip young things.
I know this because my small party were looked at like Neanderthal man crashing a modern art exhibition when we entered.

I mean, it would be pretty scary - a guy with a portable grill in one hand, and a large snake in the other.
