Me neither. I don't get why anyone would like Top Gun, although I haven't seen the new one. The old one was just so bad, I don't even want to think about it.
Some of us grew up watching that closeted homoerotic flick with a decent soundtrack, lmao.
This one isn't as gay, but Tom Cruise doesn't look bad without a shirt on for his age.
And, honestly, it's been so long since I've seen the first I honestly can't say if I like this one more or not, if it's better or not, but I do remember a bunch of people who were way into that movie, a lot more than I ever have been.
But I did enjoy the NES game. That was fun.

The interesting thing about Top Gun is that it coincides with the point when public opinion shifted away from being anti-war and anti-military to being more pro-military and pro-war once again. Top Gun might as well have been a Navy recruitment film.

Three rather idiotic highway construction issues, the first 2 occurred on the same highway, in the same day.

1) Right lane closed ahead
>>everyone goes to left lane
>>Left lane was actually closed

2) a little further down the road
>>right 2 lanes closed ahead
>>Its a 2 lane highway

3) last night, right lane closed, just before exit
>>right lane was closed
>>lots of flood lights, facing down, illuminating the work site
>>except one flood light aiming directly at any car trying to use the exit
>>I was blinded, as I was trying to use the exit

Those were the only issues you had? Sheer luxury! When I was a lad, we had to go clean the exit with our tongues a 'alf-hour before we got up in the morning...

Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of hot tar, work twenty-nine hours sealing the highway, and pay the Department of Transportation for permission to spit the hot tar on the road surface, and when i got home, my first wife would kill me and dance about on my grave singing Hallelujah.

It really might as well have been.

Calm down. Don't get so excited. We're only going for a walk soon. No need to hyperventilate over that.
