All you need is love.
Are you serious? That does not sound good since that is exactly what a bigot would say.

With all due respect, I think that you and others can disagree with Trailblazer on her personal views without resorting to disparaging name-calling. I don't agree with her on her personal views of homosexuality, but I don't disparage her character or call her names. I've disagreed with Christians about their views of homosexuality when I was still a Christian, but I never demonized them or called them names either. Do you really think that Trailblazer should listen to your objections when you're calling her names and degrading her?

The problem is that it is not all personal views. The position is that some of us have actual disorders and we have actual libertarian metaphysical free will.
She can believe all she likes personally, but that is not the only thing she does.

I don't have the time or enough interest in this topic, but I am sure I could find ample research that says the same things as this article. It is not bogus science just because it was Christian-based. Christians are just as much physicians as anyone else.

Why can't people just face reality? Regardless of any moral/religious concerns, homosexuality is not a healthy lifestyle and it is harmful to the individual who practices it.
Because it isn't the reality. It's an excuse to turn homophobia on gay people, which makes their life far worse. Same with every stigmatized minority. Since time immemorial Christians have used bogus science to perpetuate "health concerns" about people and relationships they didn't like. They said interracial marriage promotes unhealthy lifestyles too. And, as I said, racial minorities as well as disabled people also have higher rates of drug abuse, suicide, risky sex, etc. And that says more about the complex sociological effects of being a minority than about what it is they are. Christians just want to remove all the nuance and get to blaming gays for being gay.

With all due respect, it does not matter if one article was Christian-based. You can find the same scientific facts and other facts on other websites that are not Christian or religiously-based. Regardless of any religious or moral concerns, homosexuality is not a healthy lifestyle and it is harmful in many ways, and that would be true even if no anti-LGBTQ people had ever existed. I could say more but I don't want to be graphic.
Get graphic. People like to focus on msm HIV risk because anal sex is a higher risk factor of transmission for it. But anal sex is not something all gay men do and is also not something heterosexual women don't do. (And in fact the lowest risk group are lesbians)

The message should be to promote hygiene, protection and safety, not say 'don't be gay' which is just stupid and unrelated.

Do you think that is true?
According to the research, yes in the majority of cases.

Do you think that explains why some women lose interest in sex after menopause?
Estrogen levels drop during menopause, so the answer in probably most cases is yes. The "equipment" by itself certainly doesn't affect it.

But what about the women who don't lose interest in sex? Is that because they are taking hormones?
Their levels are not always consistent, plus there are other variables that can be involved. Ever hear of "hot flashes" during menopause? Fluctuating hormone levels largely cause this.

With all due respect, the health risks of anal sex are reality, and I did not need to cite a Christian website to discover that reality.

This has nothing to do with homophobia, it is science. The same health risks accrue to women and men that engage in anal sex.
If people want to risk their health just for sexual pleasure, that's their own business, not mine.

Yes, it does. Because your source is heavily biased, they are not presenting all the facts, and are in-fact misrepresenting the information along side their bias to present their narrative. One which you are more than happy to propagate; evident in that you have ignored counter-facts to your site, and continue to push this bigoted narrative.

Regardless of any religious or moral concerns, homosexuality is not a healthy lifestyle
Mmm, more of your opinions on homosexuality...

And how would you know, blazer? Have you lived a homosexual lifestyle? Or are you only going off pure nonsense?

and it is harmful in many ways,
Apparently so is being bahai. It's acutely damaging to one's social interactions, multiculturalism, acceptance of differences, and critical thinking when selecting sources.

I could say more but I don't want to be graphic.
Oh, that didn't stop you before when you were posting articles condemning homosexual intercourse with a load of pseudoscientific and archaic nonsense. You just don't want to be piled on for voicing what you know is a wrong opinion, I think.

I don't have the time or enough interest in this topic,
And there's the problem: you're not interested. It doesn't affect you. You blithely spew that homosexuality is wrong while throwing out half-truths and pseudoscience as though it absolves you of being terrible, then trot on your merry little way because "it's not interesting to you".

Next time, just abstain from saying anything.

Why can't people just face reality?
Agreed, why can't you people just get with the program, get over your scruples and discomfort with other peoples attractions and who they love, stop obsessing over their sex lives, and mind your own damn business?

Actually, I was thinking about after menopause, since menopause only lasts so long.
No, the equipment is not affected but the sexual desire is.
What are women supposed to do when after menopause they no longer desire sex and men still want it?

Have a serious and frank discussion about boundaries. Nobody should be made to feel obligated to have sex because nobody is owed it. If not having as high a libido as your partner is a deal breaker for them, then it's better that gets in the open and talked about before anyone resorts to emotional manipulation or or outbursts.
And if communication can't be successful it might be a good time to seek some couples counseling or end the relationship before it becomes self-destructive.

Saying this as someone who has always had hormone disregulation.

60% means hundreds of thousands of gay men don't like/don't practice anal sex. There's also hundreds of thousands of heterosexual women who have anal sex. And very very few lesbians who do. If this were just about being gay then this isn't a very compelling argument. It's not even really about anal sex as there are tried and proven ways to mitigate the higher risk with anal sex, which should definitely be more of a focus than 'don't be gay.'

Thanks. It is not an issue for me now since I am not in a relationship, but it could become an issue if I get married again. It is definitely something that needs to be discussed.

My wife is almost 74 and she still is in menopause, thus her hormone levels have not yet stabilized. My mother-in-law was the same way.

Well, I guess then we have to go back to our "first girlfriend". :)

I am not telling anyone 'don't be gay.' I was just researching the topic of anal sex for my own edification.
People can call me whatever names they want to call me, but just because my religion has certain laws that pertain to homosexuality, that does not make ME a bigot. There is no logical connection between the Baha'i Law and bigotry. I do not have what the definition says so I am not a bigot.

bigotry
: obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
what is bigotry - Google Search

It is very disrespectful and rude for people on this forum to keep saying I am a bigot just because I am a Baha'i and the Baha'i Faith has certain Laws that pertain only to Baha'is. It is also highly illogical to make that connection. Not all Baha'is even agree with the Baha'i Law on homosexuality, some do and some don't.

My issue as I said with my original post is not preference it's stigmatizing gay people based on misinformation. The anal sex thing is one example of it because, like I said, not only is not something all gay men do or something heterosexual people don't, but also not an issue with lesbians, who are the least risk group.

Saying that being gay is not something I want to do because of religious or personal convictions? Fine.
Saying gays are clinically unhealthy for being gay? Not fine. Not true. Causes harm to the gay community. Should be called out.

Well, this is all news to me. 'Going through menopause' implies that you get through it.
I entered menopause early, in my late 40s, like my mother, and I never had any hot flashes or any other symptoms, I just stopped bleeding. That is close to the time I lost interest in sex, but I don't think a hormone drop was the only reason. For a while I took natural hormones to 'keep it going' but then I lost interest altogether.

I had a great sex life before that but now I consider sex boring. I think that is because I analyzed it and I figured out why I liked it so much in the first place, and I realized it was all about physical pleasure, and after that I wanted nothing to do with it. The last thing I want in my life is to be attached to the 'things of the flesh.' I would probably feel differently if I never had a religion.
