Oh no, Candace said Trump was rude so it is all over for Trump!!!
LOL
Since Leftist take so much stock in what Candace has to say should we review her opinion on Biden?

I was under the impression it wasn't just Candace, that it's more a trend in general of people close to Trump getting fed up and leaving him.

Except if they don't run Trump, he'll run as an independent and take all his MAGA idiots (and their cash contributions) with him. And you know he's already threatening the republicans with that. So either way they lose. With him or without him. As they deserve to.

Or, I suppose they could offer him a big pile of money not to run. I'm sure Trump is not above such bribery. And neither is the party.

Don't bet on it. Trump's supporters are as fickle as he is. When they recognise him as a big time looser, they will ditch him like the trash that he is. And he in his turn will turn on them as disloyal.

The Republicans are already looking way past Trump for a new leader. Those tainted by him have lost their chance.

What gets me is how many republicans admitting to voting for him in 2020, like the Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger. Even after two impeachments he voted Trump. Then he was highly critical of Trump for the denialism, but why did he vote Trump at all? The vast majority of citizens could see how bad Trump was, how corrupt he is to the core. So i wonder how many voters will vote party regardless how bad the candidate is.

I suspect much of this political interest these days is the fraud and grift. As long as he is a candidate he can ask for donations from people and pocket most of it. The election finance rules are pretty lose.

But he is also very vindictive, and he can make a lot of money running, that he can keep. Not to mention that if he doesn't run, no one will care about him, anymore. He becomes irrelevant. Can his ego take that?

I think he can make money whether he runs or not. So that's probably not his primary driver in the decision.

As to what his ego will make him do - hard to say. An argument can be made either way, I suppose. My money is on giving up if he loses the primary and whining about it on social media while having a ghost book written.

This is probably due to the demonization and dehumanization of political opponents. They seem to think that even the worst Republican is better than the best Democrat. To be sure, this works both directions.

The reason she is not for adding to the IRS is the Democrats have a history of building up the bureaucratic state, which then is used to target political opponents.
This is false right wing rhetoric.

Bureaucrats are not elected but they allow the Dems do things they would not vote for, publicly; regulatory state. If the IRS was used to target Trump, they could pretend they just woke up and this will be looked into.
False, Trump admitted to being under audit for years before he got into politics. And as investigations have discovered there is evidence of tax fraud. And funny you bring this up, it was Trump who used the IRS to get retribution against Comey and McCabe. This is another crime by Trump.

Trump Wanted I.R.S. Investigations of Foes, Top Aide Says

Luckily, the Supreme Court is starting to see this trend and is forcing Congress to directly vote for things, now assigned to unelected officials, so they can be held accountable at the ballot box.
Well the decisions by the far right packed Supreme Court is backfiring on republicans. Their far right wing agenda is NOT popular with citizens and they are pushing back, and electing democrats who will represent the citizens. If republicans don't get smart and work with democrats then the voters will get rid of them in bigger numbers. The republicans installed justices that would rule they way they wanted, and that is bad faith politics.

What would be better than adding an army to the IRS, would be to simplify the tax code, so you get things done with less IRS personnel.
Well then, run for office and suggest this. As it is the tax law is largely complicated for the wealthy to hide money. Are you going to **** them off?

This is how you reduce deficit spending. The complexity of the current tax code, which is needed for the leaders to get campaign donations and acquire golden parachutes, is making the job harder for the IRS.
Both parties benefit from this. Some in congress would support election and election finance reform. But as we see with Trump he collects a lot of money and pockets it. These greedy folks won't allow any changes.

The Democrats do not wish to simplify this, since this will reduce their loopholes used for quid pro quo and direct skimming. How do you think leaders get rich on a civil servant salary?
Typically it is pretty wealthy people from the start. There are some members of congress who are not wealthy. But the way our elections are run you need to be wealthy, and/or raise money. As it is I'm only hearing democrats suggesting tax reform that closes loopholes for the wealthy, Warren being the biggest advocate for this. I've never heard any republicans say this. Maybe you can give us a source of there being at least one.

Exactly! Leftists have a desperate desire for the narrative that Trump will lose support in heads. Then they go out seeking "evidence" to support that preconception. The truth of whether Trump's support will wane remains to be seen. It could be true. But it is premature to call it.

You might be right. I have a hunch Trump may end up issuing some form of change though, if he runs - and not necessarily the same kind of "change" as the left. Whether that change is getting McConnell out of office, or trying to cleanse the Republican party of those opposed to his ideas, that remains to be seen. But I must admit it's true that in 2024, there's a chance he could be getting new supporters just as fast as he bleeds them.

But I actually think on the current path he's on though, his ideas and statements are losing energy, and appearing dry. But he could still come back full force, with new ideas, and bring new energy. Just saying that it could happen, for better or worse.

Oh, you mean like this?

"While in office, President Donald J. Trump repeatedly told John F. Kelly, his second White House chief of staff, that he wanted a number of his perceived political enemies to be investigated by the Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Kelly said. Mr. Kelly ... said in response to questions from The New York Times that Mr. Trump’s demands were part of a broader pattern of him trying to use the Justice Department and his authority as president against people who had been critical of him."

At this point people on both sides are doing that. And it's why the candidates are so bad on both sides.

Trump likes to see himself as being so clever that even when he loses he wins. And winning, for him, is defined by money, not popularity. So he's going to do whatever he thinks will get him the most money. And I think that means he needs to stay in the limelight.

The question for this European observer still remains, Who in God’s name ever thought such a divisive character, and such an obvious narcissist, would make a good leader in the first place?
I once held unrealistic expectations about the average person too. Mr. Trump and his support helped change that. Now I'm more realistic.

A poll shows that Trump is at 47% for 2024 president, while DeSantis is at 33%, and pence at 5%. There is reason for Trump to go for it. It may b that many voters don't know who DeSantis is, so picked Trump. As we know MAGAs are popular among republicans but aren't viable in general elections.

There's an argument to be made that democrats shouldn't want Trump indicted as his influence to divide republicans is still strong. Alternatively there is a reason that republicans shoul want Trump indicted as this legal action could curtail his candidacy and influence.

Another issue is how Trump threatened the RNC leader as he left Washington for the last time that he was going to start his own party. This would be a disaster for republicans as it would drain at least half of the conservative base.

Trump is losing supporters. Trumpism not so much.

Not I. I suspect, for example, that your support is fairly ossified and assured irrespective of Trump's continuing vileness.

Still, we seem to be seeing more than a few articles similar to Axion: Republicans see signs of Trump's support softening. That the Trumpets dismiss them should surprise no one. After all: denialists gotta deny.

Candace Owens said a personal interaction she had with Trump where he was rude to her led her to change how she feels about him. She says he is too angry and resentful to be a leader and that true leaders can admit they got some stuff wrong.

So you determined that Candace is not a Trump supporter because she said he was rude. In a recent thread I said Trump was rude too ( Trump was wrong ). So by your logic you have proved that I am not a Trump supporter.

No, don't know if she will continue to support Trump or not. However, I think his ego is getting in his way with political relationships.

Then you shouldn't have made her the example for the thread you created titled "Trump is losing supporters". By doing so you implied she was a former supporter Trump had lost.
