unidirectional
Can something that has a beginning be eternal?in the abrahamic belief system heaven and hell can't be eternal; if they were created and god isn't unidirectional?
the end is at the beginning?

Everlasting is not unidirectional. It's multidirectional. So it would have to exist in all places at all times. It can't just be in the present and/or future. Otherwise God wouldnt exist before the creation based on the definition of eternal or everlasting
I agree. Don't get me wrong, I do like the wordYes, they are similar, and words are used in all kinds of ways, but I think the reason we have synonyms to begin with is to express subtle or even distinct variations of the same concept.
So one might see eternal to mean always having existed and will always continue to exist, and perpetual as meaning once created or begun, it will continue without end, yet had not always having existed.
I think it is convenient to have a different word for both of those somewhat different concepts.
Being its your soul that goes to heaven,
Is a soul considered life?

If not eternal, what about perpetual?
