GOP flips its first House seat of the midterms

The cycle of bipartisan flipping of Congress seats has been ongoing for decades. I'm not sure why it would suddenly mean something apocalyptic was taking place.
On the other hand it certainly isn't inconsequential or trivial.

Guam isn't even a seat. It's a non-voting delegate. Last time around no Republican even ran.

Sssh... you're supposed to just read the misleading thread title and start getting angry! Stop it with the thinking!

Wow, so Team Red is going to back the Equal Rights Amendment and finally get it added to the Constitution? They sure had me fooled with the whole "let's strip women of fundamental rights" thing this past summer!
Nanny state payback.

Give it time. Let the listing ship of personal choice right itself or maybe hostage it off for removal of nanny state mandates the Democrats put on people to make their lives completely miserable.

It's that karma thing.

You still throwing sticks of dynamite?
Why? Is Trump involved?

Actually I'm going apathetic this time around. Taking a break.

I'm just going to enjoy watching people vote for crap politics and brag later I didn't have anything to do with it.

My next vote is going to someone worth their salt.

If such a person exists anymore.

And how, exactly, do you expect Personal Choice to "right itself" when Republicans only pass a litany of "Thou Shalt Not" laws? Please, do explain that.

Guam's seat doesn't vote. They can't shift the balance of congress
You, and others here, are missing the point. Guam hasn't had a Republican delegate in over 30 years. The point is if the Republicans can flip such a solidly Democrat office, then the extent of general Republican leaning this election cycle is quite high.

That may have to do with the fact that nobody ran. The Democratic delegate got in by acclamation.
