when making a sword the metal is baptized in fire and water. we see this same principle with genesis 1:2 and the spirit/water from which self must be born again to inherit the kingdom.

so the baptism of john the baptist was baptism in water and that of jesus with the spirit or mind, the fiery shekinah

so the immersion jesus commanded was to be in the name. that "all" people are to be baptized into but no one is to take in vain.

matthew 28:19
psalms 86:9

christ, the light, is in all and from which all came?

at the end of the age i will pour out my fiery spirit on all men

joel 2:28
acts 2:17

it came and took me by the head and lifted it up

Psalms 24:7-9

FYI: No, a sword is tempered in oil, not water. Tempering in water frequently destabilizes the metal making it brittle. But I don't think this undermines the analogy you are developing.
