So, I had a thought.

Neanderthals, the Homo species closest to us and prior to us, lived in cold ice age environs, as well as temperate areas such as Spain and England.

Which, imo, means they would have invented clothes, to protect from these environments.

So, humans (modern), didn't invent the first clothing.

How much of our Culture and Humanity, actually came from "us"?

We know that some had and used awls to make holes in skins, therefore it is likely they had shawls and leggings that they could bind using them.

They probably ordered their stuff from Amazon Prime. That's my theory.
