Humanity must remain in the loop, understanding what's going on.
I believe that within my lifetime it is 78% likely that all computers will be banned, declared illegal, broken up and factories destroyed. All calculators, all video game systems, all digital and analog computers will be rounded up and destroyed. Those with knowledge of their theory and inner workings will be ordered to maintain silence or in worse ways forced to be silent.
That is because we are likely to encounter something (not AI but something) so dangerous that it frightens us all and makes us cancel the information age. Most likely it will be modern disease and bio warfare or the advent of custom genetics. Something like that....something so powerful and frightening that the public cannot accept it will drive computers into the trash bin of history.
