Divine patrons of the sun and desert.

an anarchist

Your local anarchist.
my town gets more sunlight than anyone on this site I’m sure. I live in the desert too.
What can you tell me about deities that are the patrons of the sun and desert? Have you served/worshipped any?
I am getting interested in paganism I suppose. Where I live, the power of the sun is at its strongest. If I were to start worshipping a god, I would like to worship a sun god, as I feel I would be appreciated by the deity given my location. Imagine being a sun god and having no representation where it is the sunniest! Perhaps I am in a position to change that.

I am more likely to actually worship the sun itself rather than a sun deity, although I think they are interesting.
