Voting machine Rigging has started...by Republicans

Matthew DePerno: Trump-backed GOP candidate for Michigan AG under criminal investigation for possibly tampering with voting machines, docs say - CNNPolitics

For months, the Michigan State Police and the attorney general's office have been investigating a series of voting machine breaches that took place in several counties around the state last year. According to the documents released Monday, that probe has led investigators to Kalamazoo-based lawyer Matthew DePerno, a Republican candidate running against incumbent Michigan Attorney General Dana Nesse.
The request from Nessel's office alleges that DePerno was present in a hotel room in early 2021 when a group of individuals performed unauthorized "tests" on voting tabulators they had seized from multiple Michigan counties -- suggesting investigators have evidence that directly links him to the potentially illegal breaches.

Its a symbol of an authoritarian extremist party to claim that all elections going against it are rigged and trying to tamper the voting or vote counting processes in the name of ensuring that the "true" result, which always they winning, becomes the reality.

This does not surprise me in the least.

Having dismally failed to get the courts to agree the democratic process was flawed last time, they are going make damned sure it really is flawed next time. Then there can be a pretext for overturning the result, if it doesn't go their way.

If the Republican party does not quickly come to its senses and repudiate this nonsense, democracy will be gone in the United States within 5 years. There will be just a facade, as in Putin's Russia, with results that are a foregone conclusion.

There are examples of the left tampering as well, so it's really a nothingburger aside that both parties will stoop to low key measures in the pathological lust for power.

Their politics and religion seem to favor quantity over quality. They want to be the majority but they know they are not, so the ends justify the means. It's sad. Just become a decent party, jettison the religious right, and people will come back.

Where? False equivalence. Republicans are the kings of voter fraud last election.

False equivalence. Didn't see any voting machine tampering. Most of the ones you mentioned weren't even for the 2020 national election.

Republicans are kings of voter fraud.

No. Both do the exact same things.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

Wait a cotton picking minute. So it wasn’t the Republican Party, it was one candidate. And it has not been proven, it is an allegation. And the allegation isn’t that he even did any tampering but that he was in a room where other people did some test on a voting machine. Did DePerno even know these tests were going on? Did the test intend to breech the machines? What was the nature of these alleged breeches?

This is typical. Throw out a wild extravagant unproven allegation and then paint it with brush so wide you could paint the side of a barn with one stroke.

No, the Republican Party hasn’t been shown to be a party of vote rigging. And the title of this thread is a click bait disingenuous misstatement of the facts.

I do not like electronic voting machines. I get no paper record or any record at all. When I vote and receive no paper confirming how I have voted, I am disappointed. If I choose to throw away such a record that is for me to decide, but to have to write and request to get a confirmation of how my vote was cast is not acceptable.

It seems reasonable and perhaps due process to me that there ought to always be paper involved and a paper trail.

Definitely. There needs to be a physical medium. Not a digital one.

Do you have reliable sources that support this claim?

Please note there is a huge difference between individual voters voting illegally and altering voting machines.
