The big ones are rather boring. If you want some excitement ride the Guemes Island Ferry on a windy day:

I was on it on one of hose days. I am not sure, but I think that they chocked the tires of all the vehicles on the ferry. It can only take 22 at the most so it would not have been that much extra work.

Maybe we're neighbors? I live in the San Juan islands.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I operated a Tractor trailer for ten years and a railroad switch engine for one day.

Driven? A small single-prop plane (My Dad did the take-off and landing).
Other than that, probably a small dozer/back-hoe.

Biggest I’ve had a ride on?
I’ve been whipping around at thousands of miles per hour on one of these bad boys for years! :D

I was just rewatching this video about the biggest trucks in the world:

It has made me think of a question: what is the largest vehicle you have ever driven or ridden in, whether by weight or size? What was the driving or riding experience like?

Sitting next to the driver in a semi-truck is on my bucket list. I would love to experience the road from that height.
Probably a ferry I would think :D

The experience was slow, calming, not very exciting and occasionally a bit dumpy depending on the weather, which makes it slightly more exciting :p

Everett. But when I had my furniture store I had customers on both Lopez and San Juan. That was an all day delivery. I tended to require a large purchase to go there.

The ferry to Guemes island is not even part of the Washington state ferry system. Instead of hundreds of cars it can only take 22.

Well if we're headed in THAT direction, I enjoy riding on the Laniakea supercluster of galaxies:

If planes count - 747, flew in
If trains count - Amtrak, rode in
,Then, Greyhound bus rode in
Then Mack truck, road in
Largest vehicle I ever owned was a GMC K2500 4x4, driven

The largest I've ridden in is a semi truck (unless we want to count the airplanes).
the largest I've drove is the large size Uhaul truck.

That reminds me, I driven a couple large delivery van, which were bigger than my truck, one of those was a uhaul

Driven myself? A 26-foot U-Haul moving van with a car hauler trailer.

Ridden in... if we're excluding planes, ships & trains, then probably the Zoomobile at the Toronto Zoo:

I've only been a passenger on the largest vehicles I've been in. I know they don't count for this post but that includes one of those 300-seat airbuses and one of the larger cruise ships.

But the largest vessel I've been on was an aircraft carrier before it was decommissioned and a submarine that was in the Navy yard for repairs. They were both docked though, so technically I was more a visitor than a passenger. I like to think I'm the youngest person to have been on either, I was 4 going on 5 years old. My dad was a Navy officer and, being the middle kid, it was one of the few times I had either parent to myself. I don't remember why but he decided to take just me with him that day. I just remember the ship's massive deck and a few officers he introduced me to gave me silver dollars. Everything looked the same to me on the submarine and what I remember most was my dad lifting me up when we went through doors because they curve at the bottom and I got to see the mess hall.
