In their "Bible", Jesus exhorted the crowd to cast stones, murdered the tax collector, said that if someone takes you to court make sure you get their cloak, never turn the other cheek and told people to arm themselves to resist the rule of pagans by force of arms..

Even though it's 2022. Listen to people in the room, in Arlington TX, say "uh-huh" and "yep" and "amen."

Calling for death. So Christian.

Sadly despite the right he has to express his homophobic bigotry, he doesn't want others to have their legal and democratic rights, sad really. Like anti-choicers who want to insist women must adhere to their views and beliefs of a what a woman must do with her own body.

When did having religious freedom stop being enough?

Having "religious freedom" was never enough, didn't you know? What's required is the right to force your values on everybody else. Because, of course, being "Godly," you're right.

When a servant of the high Caiaphas slapped Jesus, he didn't turn the other cheek.

Are you taking the cheek quote out of context? Jesus did not smite one of the officers back according to the Bible.

22And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? 23Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?

And when it comes to the cheek, the context is key with the prior sentence being part of the admonition. To me Jesus is saying that if someone slaps you don't slap them back:
38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

We should ask this preacher, ?Where in the Bible does Jesus Christ Himself condemn homosexuals? The fact that nowhere in the Bible does Jesus Christ condemn homosexuality should hopefully persuade this preacher to refrain from narrating hate speech against homosexuality.

That is, after all, why the Puritans came here: because things weren't *strict* enough in the homeland. And then they banned people like Anne Hutchinson who didn't think they were strict enough....

Oversimplification: The north was settled by those folk Quakers and others who had different visions of religion. The south was settled by those who wanted to make money. Hence we have those who want to make lots of money hawking religion to people

So “not” Christian. I didn’t even bother to listen. There are lots of people who profess to be Christians, but whose lives, thoughts, and attitudes are not submitted to Jesus Christ. A large portion of the NT warns against false teachers and ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing... also like the ones who tortured and/or murdered the boys at the school in Florida you highlighted in another thread.

Little hard to catch the audio. I did not hear him call for gay people to be killed. He cited scripture which he is free to believe but cannot force on others. The beauty of American law is that even if he does call for all gays to die or some such the law protects his belief and forbids him from taking actions.
