A vegan diet involves no dairy. (Plus, there are vegan supplements eg for B12).
Humans can eat anything (omni) but don't need to eat everything :)

But the point is, you DO have to take supplements for a vegan diet. It is not a naturally healthy diet -- it is not good for us.

Sulking when one's claims are demonstrated to be wrong is not debate, and neither is getting all bent out of shape that others don't respect one, how respectful do you imagine it is to respond to expansive refutations with "I am taking my ball home in a sulk"?

No nap, not much need these days, since I lost my job last May - Covid has decimated the aviation industry sadly. Luckily this coincided precisely with my planned retirement through ill health, and I had saved sufficiently, unluckily it also coincided with my (now ex) wife, finding someone else, and taking my life savings to fund her new relationship. :rolleyes: I was wiped out financially after 9/11 as well, but hey ho, these things happen. :D:cool:

If I survive another twenty years, I'm curious to see what financial disaster is waiting...:tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::D:cool:

Utter nonsense, the definition of an animal is a living organism that feeds on organic matter, typically having specialized sense organs and nervous system and able to respond rapidly to stimuli.

Again they apply to all humans, ipso facto humans are animals.

OK, about a decade ago, I was going to barbeque some meat that my wife was supposed to thaw out for me but forgot, thus I had my grill out but nothing to put on it. However, my neighbor's obnoxious dog was outside, so I went over to their house, took their dog, skinned it, cut it up, and then put it on the grill.

When the neighbor came home and found out what I'd done, I offered him money for the dog, but he still was angry. So, I asked him if he ever ate meat, and he said yes, so I then asked him what the problem was as I was more than willing to pay him for the dog. After all, if he eats meat, isn't that eating another animal as I did?

So, did I do wrong?
Yes you did something wrong! You purposely destroyed your neighbors property without them knowing about it; property they probably considered priceless, then you had the audacity suggest you could replace their priceless property with money. Shame on you.

I suppose one weighs up various issues - eg taking a supplement vs slaughter. As to "naturally healthy", people in northern Europe are advised to take vitamin D supplements during the winter months, irrespective of diet.

I had cats. I love cats.

And to be brutally honest with you: I think they are quite delicious.
But I don't think I would eat them. Dogs also not. It just doesn't feel right.
But if I ever walked into a situation where it's right there, cooked and ready... I might be extremely tempted to just taste it. Just to know. Not sure if I actually would though.

If you don't go out of your way to establish a healthy diet, trying to have a reasonable intake of every nutrient, you are extremely unlikely to have a diet that is really all that healthy.

For instance, let's talk about Omega 3: how many people with an omnivore diet do you think that daily achieve the recommended intake of 250-500 mg (depending on who you ask) without a supplement?

There is no need for hemochromatosis suffers to stop eating meat.

It is iron that must be avoided as much as possible among other iron rich foods. Beef is rich in iron. I don't think you understand that if left unchecked hemochromatosis destroys the body's organs. Phlebotomy reduces the iron level almost to an anemic condition. Chicken is fine. Its red meat that is a problem.

Story involving dog meat:

I used to be online friends with a foreign person who said dog meat was one of his favorites. He was always a nice guy in our talks. He said dog meat was tasty, but that it just kind of "went through you", sometimes even giving a pins and needles sensation to your digestive system. So in other words, was kind of hard on the ol' belly.

Both my sister and brother have hemochromatosis, neither of them completely avoids, or has been advised to completely avoid red meat. Maybe the NHS don't know what they're doing?

Here in the US, people are recommended to get more sunshine. Sunshine is the ultimate Vitamin D source. If we would actually go outside instead of playing video games and bingewatching TV, there would be no problem. We have an unhealthy lifestyle.
