A question about Ukraine.

Well, we are not the USA so no, we didn't win as that. But just make it about 2 empires and forget the rest.

Earlier you said "we won and they lost." If it's all about "empires," then I would say that "we" are doing it wrong.

At least as far as the characteristics and demeanor of our national leadership, it's not an "empire" at all. At best, it's more akin to a powerful Mob family which operates mostly underground, conducts secret wars, engages in treachery - all the while trying to pass themselves off as "legitimate." As to your point about "realpolitik," most governments see that as something shameful and something to hide (or at least minimize).

You are forgetting the vassals. ;) There is more to the world than the USA and Russia, yet they try to dominate as empires.

I think I can continue to stand on my statements.

that "Biden pulled out of the Afghan war to then start another one in Ukraine" ?

Do you have any evidence to support that claim rather than the generally held belief that the invasion was a consequence of the Russian new military doctrine and Putin’s imperialist designs?

Officially, they're considered "sovereign" and "independent." The official line is that all of these countries are operating independently and joining the alliance of their own free will. It seems important to our leadership to maintain that perception, for the sake of appearances.

Yeah, you are thinking in those terms. I am not just doing that.

Hmmm... I think what I said was he didn't follow the accord since the Taliban didn't follow their end of the contract. So, in essence, Biden pulled out of the war and started the next with "If it is just a small incursion, it will be ok" new war(paraphrased)

So Biden ordered the Russian army into Ukraine! You should keep him, he is very powerful and better than Trump. Trump never controlled Russia.

LOL... So... when I leave the door wide open in Chicago and a thief comes in, the only option available is that "I ordered the thief in"?

Yeah, the problem is that Putin didn't do a minor incursion, so he didn't follow the orders from his master Biden. That is not Biden's fault, that is Putin's fault.
Try again.
OK.. I don't see it that way. If the bully doesn't have someone strong enough to stop him, he just bullies. I still think that Biden's weak foreign policy is what is doing it.

So I pray for him!

Well, I properly phrased it badly and I get where you are coming from. But the world is different as an European in some sense.
E.g. Finland and Sweden are trying to join Nato and why is that?

I'm not sure why they want to join NATO or even if NATO will let them join. Apparently, they must be afraid that the Russians will attack their countries, too, although I can't imagine why they would think that.
