Could a theocracy be just?

And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite(

To the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom in order to establish it firmly and to sustain it by means of justice and by means of righteousness, from now on and to time indefinite.

Seems to be a contradiction in terms there.

Typical Christian blind hatred.

No contradiction there, Jesus is the rightful ruler of Gods kingdom goverment ,he has received authority to rule from God himself .God has given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, nationalgroups and languages should all serve even him.(daniel 7;14)

When mary was told she would have a son called Jesus, the angel said that Jehovah God will give him the throne of david(luke 1;32) also paul said that jesus was the offspring of david according to the flesh (romans 1;3) (2tim 2;8) and Jesus himself said,I Jesus am the root and offspring of david (Rev 22;16)

Ok, I know I`m wasting my breath but I will attempt to show you the contradiction written in front of you.

Here we go....

The first portion of your paste has this sentence...

...the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It (Gods Kingdom)will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms,

The above statement clearly (to me anyway) speaks of God creating a Kingdom that will destroy all other kingdoms that are ungodly (Not worshipping this one God).

This is hardly a peaceful tolerant statement, one would think there may even be unwarranted death involved for these ungodly kingdoms and the only reason they would die was because they didn`t worship this one God in question.

Now below is another part of the statement, concerning this same God in a different form

...his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. To the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end,

I`m assuming the peace spoken of above is only for those who follow this God and not those unbelievers mentioned in the first statement considering that by this time they are dead by the hand of this God because they had the audacity to worship a different god.

....upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom in order to establish it firmly and to sustain it by means of justice and by means of righteousness, from now on and to time indefinite. The very zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this.

How does a zealous army sustain peace for a Kingdom?

By slaughtering any more of those "wrong believers" that may raise their ugly heads again.

Yes..it`s all very "Peaceful".

No contradiction here.

God, please save me from your followers!!

If men, through agencies such as the United Nations, cannot bring about true and lasting peace, from what source will true peace come, and how? Is it just an unrealistic dream to believe that everlasting peace is possible? Not if we turn to the right source of peace. And who is that? Psalm 46:9 answers by telling us that Jehovah "is making wars to CEASE to the extremity of the earth. The bow he breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces; the wagons he burns in the fire." And Jehovah has already started the process to end wars and establish true peace. How? By installing Christ Jesus on his rightful Kingdom throne , and by promoting the greatest educational campaign for peace in the history of mankind. The prophetic words of Isaiah 54:13 reassure us: "All your sons will be persons taught by Jehovah, and the peace of your sons will be abundant. So true followers are taught by Jehovah

After I'd looked up 'Theocracy' in the dictionary, and knew what we were talking about, I think that, in some cases, theocracy is innevitable. Religions have a habit of moulding themselves around Sociological events and needs, much as do politics.
In fact, comparing, for instance the ten comandments with 'the law of the land'(in most countries), the law will surely arrive at the same prohibitions.
It's not so much a case of could a theocracy be just, but when it works, and for the betterment of the population in general, why not?

Actually, God never intended for humans to rule themselves. In order to enjoy perfect government, humans need more than just government by supermen. They need theocracy, government by God.

Theocracy is the type of government that prevailed in Eden, where God placed the first human pair. As rightful Sovereign, God originally administered affairs and exercised authority.

That would be why theocracy is an anathma to democracy.

Yes, any government can be fair and just, it depends on the people in it.
Actually, it depends on the designed principles of the governing institution. Good governance would be people following those principles and maxims

Yes.
Deal with it.

The only way any society can have what you call "everlasting peace".
Is to enforce it on those who don`t agree with how your doing it.

The act of enforcement is inherently unpeaceful regardless of the "morallity" behind it.

Someone gets victimized.
Always.
Usually large groups of "someones".

We are so fortunate the constitution exists.
