most important word in the Bible?

But in the Bible, that's more than one word. How can you have a most important single word in any case? The suggestion is utterly bizarre. If the meaning of a verse can be changed so much simply by taking it out of context (and it can), how can a single word hold any significance outside of the context in which it is used?

The most important word in the Bible is Covenant.
It is the foundation for Christianity and the key that ties the Old and New Testament together. Psalms 25:14 tells us that "God's secrets He will show to those who walk with HIm in covenant." Think on that for just a moment!
All the blessings that you have come from a covenant. When you are born again, you are walking in the Blood Covenant that says your sins are totally forgiven and not remembered, your born in the Body of Christ. We are all Blood brothers and sister that cannot be seperated by race because we are one.Jesus prayed in John17:21,;Father that the CHURCH may be one as you and I are one that the world may know that you sent me."
When you take communion, it is the covenant meal saying you are bound by blood to Christ.
The marriage covenant is the most important covenant you will ever make with another, choose wisely. The Scriptures tells husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it
To have a successful marriage, both partners have to crucify their own will for the relationship to be strong.
Acovenant woman fears the Lord. Proverbs 13:31 says A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised/Shes strong spiritually and morally.
The salt covenant is one of loyality. Most of us in the "church' hasnt learned how to be loyal to one another or to God.Micah the word "mercy" also means loyalty.Mercy and loyality looks fopr a way to restore a fallen brother or sister.
Salt does three things.it preserves, it irritates and it holds together.
A friend of mine recently wrote.....
There are powerful sources in this world that would love to see Christians silenced. The solution for this is for Christians to become salty.Stick together like salt, and stand up because satan is terrified of a united church.
SOmeone without loyalty is worthless, be loyal to one another.Salt covenant relationships can endure heat, satan cant rip you apart.
Mark 9:50 tells us that salt is the basis of peace.Peace isnt possible without loyality.
The blood covenant is the center of Gods word.
This past week, I found 16 covenants in Scripture, these are Gods great promises.I do think that we as believers overlook these covenants, and what they really mean for us.

Greetings!

I also am not prepared to pick any single word as the "most important."

But that said, as to Covenant, it's important to note that there have been numerous Covenants between God and humanity, far more then just the two recounted in the Bible!

And this same process has continued into modern times and will repeat, always and without end!

Best, :)

i'm with James on this one, any singular word would lack context, i would loose it's biblical meaning.

i would say that all of the words in the bible are important because they are inspired of God and that means he wants us to read them all. but heres a very important name in the bible .
That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,
You alone are the Most High over all the earth.psalm 83;18

Thats absolutely right. (Love it) On a more serious note that verse corrects self(ish) love and says share some of that love that you have for your self with your neighbour.

I don't see how on earth you get that out of the verse.

You don't? The assumption is made by Jesus that we already love ourselves (as opposed to the teaching that we inateley hate ourselves). Jesus is telling us not to keep our love for ourselves but to share it with our neighbours.
