But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

Adam 4k B.C.
Moses 2k B.C.
Jesus 1 A.D.

Have we actually left the sixth millinium and entered the seventh?

I believe there is strong evidence to that idea, the Bible uses numbers symbolically as well as reference. Seven days of creation, and the seventh being the fullfillment/completion. Isreal was scattered across the world for 1900+- years and miraculously reformed their country and has thrived, and many others.

So my guess is  .

I'm not sure. The Bible says that his return will be like a theif in the night which leads me to believe that no one will recognize his return (at least at first).

On another note, the next big Doomsday coming up will be on Dec.21, 2012 which is when the Aztec calender supposedly stops.

I'm not gonna hold my breath or anything. I have to admit, though, that I'd be a bit put out if Jesus appeared. I got nothing against Jesus personally, its his dad I'm worried about.

Perhaps. Who knows? Not even the Son, according to Scripture and certainly no man. All I can do is try to live as though He might return at any minute.

I suppose I agree with the penguin.

The man, if he lived at all, is dead. Long dead. Death does not have a revolving door.

You are right on..., but we don't know how accurate our current calendar is, so we don't know for sure how far away or into the 7th mellenium we are.... If our calendars are accurate we are overdue for Christ's return..., which I think he has delayed in returning on purpose so all that will repent and come unto him will do so and be ready as a result of being given a little extra time, prior to his coming/return...

well i no that He will come back again soon, but that we will never know.
But Jesus has heeded us some warnings in the Bible so we must stop,
pray and ask God for direction an see where we r now in life.

What are you guys talking about? They just presumably dug up his body. With the way human cloning has been progressing, science should be able to clone Jesus and there you have it. He's back.

Would anybody worship a cloned Jesus?

What if he could do miracles?

The ossuary in question (and according to at least one archaeologist it says Harun not Jesus) is empty and was found in the '80s, not recently. And why would anyone worship a cloned Jesus. It would be no more Him than an identical twin is its brother. Less, unless you somehow think that the Incarnation would leave some indelible trace on human DNA.

I doubt it.

St. Paul was convinced Christ would return during his lifetime, and of anyone he'd be the one to know. So, either Christ returned sometime in the 1st Century or he never will.

I agree with you from what I've understood Christ was already supposed to have returned.

Of course not. I believe Jesus will return the same way he left as we are told in the book of Acts. I certianly do not believe in reincarnation. I was mocking the report that his ossuary was found.

I realised that you were being flippant. I just thought that I'd point out both the facts about the ossuary and that Christ was not just a human and that even if He was, a clone of Him would not be Him.

That and I lack a sense of humour, apparently. Pure blood Germans are envious of my sensible streak.

The poll is missing a choice for "The Return of the Christ Spirit already happened!"

In the Baha'i it did ideed, about a century and a half ago!

YMMV, as always.

Best,
