Christian - Once Saved Always Saved?

Not in the slightest, you can only be saved by works...Christ said when the son of man come you will be judged by your works ...Paul is Anti-Christ...John was Pharisee....Simon was also Pharisee...So depends what you follow as only through God can anyone be saved and that takes living it!

Let me muddy the waters abit. Below you will find good sound biblical arguments which will make one think. It is well worth the read. It is lengthy, but I learned much from it. This is aPART of a debate. Enjoy:

There is more than one judgement. You speak of a different judgement that happens after you are in heaven and are about to receive your crowns.

Paul said, we are saved by grace.
James said, if you have no works, you were never saved to begin with.
It's all about fruit inspection.
It is impossible to let Christ into your life and not do works.
Works will never get you into heaven, accepting the gift that God offered and Jesus paid for is all it takes. If you truly accepted God's gift, works are the by-product and fruit that will be present. A Christian does not do the works to receive praise or earn their way to God's mansions. When they are fulfilled by the spirit, the works are automatically there.

If you have no works, it means you never received the gift of grace. This is the reason for fruit inspection.

Some people go through the motions of getting saved but never let Christ into their lives. If Christ is not in your heart, you never really accepted the gift of grace and that is why you have done no works. Works are not an obligation, they are a result of accepting Christ.

The Bible does not say you are saved by works. It says your works will be judged. God only remembers the good works of those who have accepted Christ and those good works are the ones that He created us to do. the works of those who have not believed in Christ God only sees them as filthy rags. Romans tells us that without Christ there are none righteous.

Everything you have said is correct, but what you failed to mention are these verses:

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.

How much more clearly could it be stated? Those who do the will of God, who keep the commandments of Jesus Christ and who are obedient servants will enter into the kingdom of heaven, abide in Christ's love and enjoy eternal salvation.

Christians are not saved forever once they accept Jesus. However, belief in Jesus is essential to salvation. Belief must be accompanied by works. We must obey God's commandments as did Jesus. Once saved, always saved is not scriptural. See 1 Corinthians 9: 27 --"...but I pummel my body and lead it as a slave, that after I have preached to others, I myself should not become disapproved somehow." All of us have to work at it every day to keep from sinning.

Right on brother!!! A gift is a gift is a gift, period, salvation is free to all who have trusted alone in Christ alone for salvation. That is the absolute gospel truth.

You are saved by "Faith", "Elected" by doing the "Will of the Father."
The "Elect" do not stand at the "White Throne" they have already been judged and found worthy, they live and reign with the Mashiach for a thousand years, the rest of the "Dead" then are raised and those who have done good will be judged for their works, if the good works out weigh the bad, he will be rewarded, but there is another book who do not get judged, that is the wicked, they will just taste the second death.
Hebrew teaching, three books, the righteous, the wicked and the intermidiates. NT teaching, Godly, the ungodly and those who have a form of godliness. In Rev. "Books are opened."
So "Once saved, always saved." is technically correct, it keeps you from being written in the book of the wicked! But you could be the "Least in the Kingdom." To me that is not a position to be "Vied For."

In my mind SImon in (Acts 8:13-24) and (2Peter 2:20-22) answeres the question. At least to any good and honest heart (Luke 8:15). In (2Peter 2:21) those who turn from the commandments of God also turn from the grace of God. The inspired word of God helps us to understand this by giving us a word picture of the end result of leaving the word of God in (2Peter 2:20-21).

If you get a chance please look at this debate. It is quite legthy but it will answere the question with bible answeres. I am posting only the second half of the debate.I want you to be aware of this. It is well worth the time to look at it.
