if you are wondering why it is frowned upon, it is because it is extremely unhealthy. "the tao of health sex and longevity" or "the complete book of chinese health and healing" both by daniel reid. also you could search for sites on (taoist) semen retention to explain the benefits of not ejaculating, especially during masturbation.

Considering it's been put in Abrahamic Religions I'm sure there's got to be a religious twist to it. Otherwise why not put it in the sexuality section or in the Eros room? So, is it if masturbation is a sin? Are you looking for verses to verify that it's a sin?

I believe, considering the sub-forum this is in, that the question is referring to the view upon masturbation religiously. If there is another question concerning masturbation I believe it should really go in another sub-forum. Such as either the health or eros ones.

edit: sorry this seems to be what Moni Gail basically said. I was slow on the typing thing and was dealing with something else at the same time. I swear she had not posted that when I started. But I guess it's true what people say about great minds all the same. ;)

yes, even small amounts of research will show you that it is unhealthy. if you take the time to read any recommended things in the post above you would see that. but i suppose making an uninformed condescending reply is good too.

So, can you please provide for me some real medical reports made within the last 10 years or so that demonstrates that masturbation is bad for one's health?
Having studied sexual psychology and biology for my job, everything I have read purports the exact opposite, and I would go so far as to say that it is more than beneficial for a healthy sex life.
