Where did Jan go?

When I turned my phone on to see it is Jan 20th, it dawned on me that this least favorite month of the year is coming to an end, and it definitely feels like it just arrived.

You would think how cold and miserable it is would make the time go by less quickly , (because time flies when you are having fun) but life will be over in no time when a month can zip by this quickly!

Our time is short!

Do you feel January has gone by quickly?

You are getting older, as a child school holidays lasted for years of fun and enjoyment (or so it seemed).

As you age time appears to get faster and days merge together, months fly by and years are on the gallop.

I have found this to be a fairly accurate guide and have problems trying to keep up now... How about in another 30 years???

Something I've noticed is that during those times when I'm filling up my life with new things --- new places, new people, new experiences --- time seems to slow down. Not sure why, but I think it may be because our minds log time in accordance with events and experiences as much as in dates and minutes.

If we're living a life where most things are basically the same day in and day out, days may seem to drag, but months and years seem to fly by.

On the other hand, if a lot of things are new and different: say you start a new job, or move to a new town, or made any other changes in your life, you can look back on that a year later and that year seems to have taken longer to pass than previous ones.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Jan ran off with Marsha.

You will meet her in a couple of months.
