False Beliefs about God

Quote : The Torah and the Gospel, the earlier revelations from God, have lost their original authenticity, since the words and interpolations of man have been incorporated into them. This is one of the reasons for which the Qur'an was sent. That the holy books preceded the Qur'an were distorted by man is related by God as follows:

Woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say "This is from God" to sell it for a paltry price. Woe to them for what their hands have written! Woe to them for what they earn! (Surat Al-Baqara: 79)

Among them is a group who distort the Book with their tongues so that you think it is from the Book when it is not from the Book. They say, "It is from God," but it is not from God. They tell a lie against God and they know it. (Sura Al 'Imran: 78)

as far as i know , the appearance of Al Mahdi is one of the prophecies , that will happen as a part of the Major signs of the judgment day ,
but certainly he hasn't appeared yet , and non of the Major signs have happened yet ,
but many of its minor signs , has appeared
(note, there are also middle signs , and some say that some of them have appeared as well )

we should not forget that the torah and nevi'im were good enough for the messiah to use, and jeremiah 8:7-9 (from the bible) tells us that the torah was not in its original state even in his time.

The Messiah was a Prophet of Allah(SWT). He did whatever Allah(SWT) ordered him to do. That does not contradict the fact that Allah(SWT) has abrogated the before revelations, like the Torah and the Injeel, with the Qur'an. And that the Prophet(SAWS), the final Prophet of Allah(SWT), ordered to follow the Qur'an only, and nothing else.

That's why God sent Jesus Christ. :)

we ARE NOT ordered to follow the quran only; we are ordered to seek knowledge (ilm) wherever we find it. the two are quite different. the torah and injeel that you say were abrogated were good enough for prophets to use to teach. are you saying the books they taught from and their revelations from Allah are useless since we need only follow one book?

Well, i don't know about the religion you follow, but in Islam, we are ordered to follow the final revelation, the Qur'an, only. Since every other revelation before the Qur'an, and every Prophet other than Muhammed(SAWS), were sent to a specific people, and for a specific time period.

Yes, they are different. There is no contradiction between having to seek knowledge where ever one finds it, and only following the Qur'an. The last time i checked, seek and follow were two seperate words, with two different meanings.

The previous revelations have been abrogated by Allah(SWT). If you want to say useless, go ahead.

Haven't we had this discussion before? And wasn't it you who chose not to continue it?
