Matthew 5:6

In this case righteousness seems to mean the saving activity of God. To fulfill all righteousness is to submit to the plan of God for the salvation of the human race. This involves Jesus’ identification with sinners; the propriety of his accepting John’s baptism.

I agree and believe life must include truth, justice, righteousness and equity which is embodied in God’s love to have meaning. I am looking forward to His coming to make things right.

For He is coming to judge the earth.
With righteousness He shall judge the world, And the peoples with equity. Psalm 98:9
You are going to wait a long time for it. Believe me.

'Wait a long time' because __________________
I find coupled with the world scene today, it is just as Jesus said that the good news about God's kingdom government being declared on a global international scale as it is now done as never before in history.
This means we are nearing the 'final signal', so to speak, when they (the powers in charge) will be saying, " Peace and Security..." but that rosy saying is leading mankind down the primrose path because that saying is the precursor to the coming great tribulation before Jesus takes the action to rid the Earth of the wicked.

- Luke 21:11; 2 Timothy 3:1-5,13; Daniel 2:44; Matthew 24:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4; Revelation 7:14,9; Revelation 19:14-15

I mean...I really wanted to discuss about this verse...with you guys. Matthew 5:6 in my opinion, life is meaningful and beautiful, if there is equity. Truth. Justice. Sometimes it is like thirst. What do you think?
I find at Matthew 5:6 Jesus is speaking about hungering and thirsting for righteousness.
That is because as John 6:35 says Jesus is the figurative ' bread ' of life.
As bread can satisfy, what Jesus taught fills any spiritual hunger and thirst leading to Revelation 7:16-17.
Until we see the words of Rev. 22:20 for Jesus to come! this world is ruled by the wicked one of 1 John 5:19.
Man's inhumanity man troubles righteous ones - Ecclesiastes 8:9; Ecclesiastes 5:8.
So, we are Not to loose heart for equality for God knows what is taking place and will have Jesus step in to bring equality on Earth for the sake of righteous ones, the humble meek to inherit the Earth.
Jesus will bring ' healing ' to earth's nations as per Revelation 22:2.
Healing to the point that not only spiritually but literally there will be No more hunger and thirst.
Earth will be a beautiful paradisical place as Eden originally was.
No one will say, " I am sick...." - Isaiah 33:24.
Earth and its people will be as described in Isaiah 35th chapter.

Are you unhappy? Turn it into a cause and you will be happy.
True, taking up a cause can give a person 'helper's high' but the cause Jesus took up was God's kingdom (Daniel 2:44; Luke 4:43)
Sinner Satan I find used causes as a lure to bait to tempt Jesus in the 4th chapter of Luke.
Jesus knew injustice hurts us but Jesus did Not take up any of those causes that Satan presented to him.
So, it was Not by taking up a personal cause of interest, but taking up that spiritual focus of Matthew 24:14.
Kind of like give a person a fish and he is happily fed for a day, teach a person how to fish and he eats everyday.
As in Jesus' day, at this point, the world is still controlled by Satan - 1 John 5:19; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 12:12.
To Jesus it was spiritual desires, spiritual responsibilities, not fleshly/physical goals or causes to bring happiness.

there is some truth to what you are saying. The ultimate cause is the cause of Christ. IMV But, regardless, people may have a cause that gives them purpose and defines their life.

Precisely.I also think that God wants us to be promoters of justice. We shouldn't be afraid of taking a clear stance.
I find Jesus promoted justice by promoting God's kingdom (Daniel 2:44; Matthew 24:14) as the real justice for Earth.
Jesus did Not look to man-made lures to bait him by reaching out for physical / fleshly desires or accomplishments.
Man-made lures will never get us out of nor rid us of suffering.
Sinner Satan offered Jesus all countries, all earth's kingdoms in Luke chapter 4.
So, whatever country or nation one resides it is backed by satanic influence.- Revelation 12:2,9.
Kind of like Satan is the behind-the-scenes puppeteer pulling the dummy's strings.
The corrupt divisive world is like that dummy on the Devil's knee.
The world's spirit is anger, but because Jesus conquered the world we can resist the fleshly.
Like Jesus then we can put spiritual responsibilities first over physical/fleshly desires.
Active faith in what Jesus taught is what will conquer - 1 John 5:4

Yes, even an atheist can have a good cause, but I know of No atheist who promotes God's kingdom as the real solution as Jesus did.
Many find both meaning and purpose in life, but to me only the Bible gives us: Lasting Hope.
Hope because Jesus conquered this divisive world and promoted spiritual goals over material/fleshly.
Top spiritual goal was to tell the world about God's kingdom as Jesus did - Luke 4:43; Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8.

To me the ' clear stance ' for justice is in connection to Jesus' instruction found at Acts 1:8; Matthew 24:14.
Jesus was Not afraid to take a clear stance (take a stand) for God's kingdom government - Daniel 2:44; Luke 4:43
Not be afraid to tell others that God's kingdom is a real government with Jesus as King.
Jesus as King of God's kingdom government for a thousand years to bring justice to earth.
And the coming of Jesus (Rev. 22:20) is that we are all invited to pray for Jesus to come !
Come and undo all the damage Satan and Adam brought upon humanity:
* Come and bring ' healing ' to earth's nations as per Revelation 22:2
* Come and fulfill the words of Isaiah 33:24 that No one will say, "I am sick...."
* Come and earth and its people will be 'healthy' as described in Isaiah 35th chapter.
* Come and end 'enemy death ' on earth as mentioned at 1 Corinthians 15:24-26; Isaiah 25:8
Then, there will be earth-wide justice for right-hearted ones, the righteous ones like those of Matthew 25:37.
