Do you have any songs that you enjoy that aren't necessarily by religious groups, but still deal with he topic of religion?

Not necessarily a positive take then?

Chuckling. When i was a student and living in a rather seedy part of Manchester the local church put up a poster "Jesus saves fallen women"

Someone had written underneath in bold felt tip marker pen "ask him to save one for me"

We have philosophical bhajans and poetry galore which do not pertain to any particular religion. Kabir's songs (1398/1455 — 1518/1575) are top-most among them, very wise and liked by all Hindus and Sikhs. As is believed, Kabir was an orphan raised by a Muslim couple, a weaver by profession, and a disciple of Saint Ramananda. Kabir's hymns make 10% of the Sikh scripture, Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Check in Youtube, there are thousands of renditions.

"Chāh mitī, chintā mitī, manwā beparwāh; jisko kuch nahin chāhiye, vo hai shāhenshāh."
One without desires, one without worries, with a my heart does not care for anything;
one who does not want anything, is the real emperor.
